Most milenials I know have a house with a sweet mortgage rate and most boomers I know have a paid off house.
Those with low rates are not trading houses so they can keep that rate. Those with paid off houses trade do what they want, especially if downsizing.

If we went to college, we had to pay for it, because Dad didn’t make enough to send us.
Oh for frick’s sake. I don’t think you want to get into the cost of college with Millennials or Gen Zers. You paid off your debt by the age of 25 just working a 9-5 job. That’s not the case with Millennials at all.

After graduating college, we worked 60 hours a week paying rent, utilities, car payments, and saved our money to buy our first house when we were in our early 30’s.
Just do what we did, and if you fail because we won’t give it to you in the same way it was given to us, well it’s your fault.

we should have done exactly what they did and buy a $79,000 house

We are, by far, the most generous generation, and it isnt close.
By putting your parents in third rate nursing homes and then living it up on cheap credit that you will never have to pay and are instead instead going to force your kids and grandkids to pay it off. Most generous generation ever.

I don't hear boomers blaming anyone for anything. It's NOTHING like what all everyone blames boomers for. That's just projection, pure and simple.
Go watch a protest these days. It’s nothing but a bunch of Boomers bitching and complaining in their narcissism.

I tell my kids to go up to the realtor with a firm handshake and good appearance and ask for the best deal they have.

Boomers are mostly retired. This is the kind of thing Gen x and or millennials can do, but won’t.
Lol, I can tell you've never been to a zoning meeting.

I think most would gladly welcome those ratios today.

Home buyers today would gladly pay 4x household income on a house?
