Thankfully my husband and I are both pretty good cooks now (we really enjoy it) but it took years of trial and error. To make this fair, I’ll make fun of myself: I think the worst thing I ever cooked while we were dating was frozen solid chicken breasts that I threw straight into a skillet until it was cooked through. I can’t think of anything worse...

There’s not enough space in one post to list the meals.

But the number 1 would be meatloaf. Just horrible

Speaking of something distasteful, have you told your husband about all of us yet?

Instead of telling on my wife I'll tell on myself.

3rd date, I invited her over. Tried to cook some fancy version of chicken breast and a lemon/mushroom sauce. Sauce was great, but I was nervous and started cooking the chicken too early. I thought "oh I'll just leave it in the oven at a really low temp to keep it warm" and overcooked the piss out of the chicken . She must've really liked me to keep on going on dates after that terrible chicken.

Im generally a decent cook and do most of the cooking in our house.

Seriously I don’t recall my wife ever cooking a bad meal- ever. She’s a great cook.

Not really a meal, but when I was dating my now wife in college she made me a sandwich. I bit into and couldn’t bite through it. I got to looking at it and the cheese still had the plastic on it....

Past girlfriend made "dinner" one night which was ham steaks boiled in milk with salt & pepper. just...WTF.

She also washed a new pair of pants after I clearly told her all my shite is dry cleaned except boxers, socks, and t shirts. She had to go.

My wife is an excellent cook. Probably the worst thing she's made was some mac and cheese that was severely lacking in the cheese department. Dry arse mac and cheese is not the business. Worst part about it was this was a Thanksgiving dish and her brother gave her shite about it for years at family gatherings.

She tried to pass some sort of tofu or vegan hotdog on us once. I was suspicious when she wanted to plate them for us with our fixings already on them. It took one look and me and my 2 boys were like wtf?!? is this?!?

Oh also one time tried to pass off 'Apple pie' on us which was made with zucchini. No thanks.

My wife is a great cook. She watches that pioneer woman and Trisha Yearwood cooking shows and then makes what they have on the show. Been pretty good.

My wife is a good Southern style/soul food type of cook. She can't bake worth a shite though. When she decides to make a cake or something like that, I just wait to hear her throw it in the trash and ask me to go buy one.

When I was dating my husband I didn’t have any canola oil for a brownie mix and sub it with olive oil. He was a little confused by the flavor of the brownies until I fessed up.

My wife is an awful cook by choice. She does everything so bad that I don’t even ask her to help any longer. She can make bacon and eggs with pancakes though.

I’ve never cooked anything that was so bad it was memorable in adulthood.
