Exactly. The people guffawing at the prices don’t understand that these things have gotten bigger and badder because people want that, but there’s still reasonable options out there. I’ve seen 1000 lbs in the bed of a 570 full size and it could have done more. We still have an original kawa mule that wont die, and you can buy almost the same machine today for 8K. Meanwhile my more ignant podnahs have machines that will do 70 mph on blacktop, different strokes.

Paid $12k for Honda 700 few years back and worked it like hell on the property. Worth every dollar.

Now..people paying those prices for a damn golf cart are stupid…rich or not.

Go to Sabine ATV Park or TowerTrax during an event weekend. Staggering amount of money out there.

Who cares? If someone wants to pay that much then so be it. It’s their money and finances.

Not trying to justify it but ski boats have had tesla type technology since 2013. You plot a course on a lake and punch in a speed, and it will do exactly 36.2 mph until you pull off the throttle. It's changed from paddle wheels, to magnets on a charted course, to now GPS with military precision. The skier pulls against the boat in a turn and it's smart enough to increase rpm just enough to offset the skiers weight/pull. Pretty unreal riding in a boat with a top skier behind.

I'm convinced they're just charging these prices because they can.

There isn't that much to most of them.

Responses like this are so retarded. You could repeat this same dumb arse response to literally every thread..."who cares? It's their (insert topic) so let them do (insert topic)"

You can get something over 30' long with 2 engines ready to fish for that much. That's absolutely stupid.

Of course as long as 20+ year financing on used boats is a thing, prices will continue to rise. Those people have no intentions of ever paying that thing off.

A few things happened - to trucks, boats, UTVs, anything that people finance:

Interest rates hit rock bottom to the extent that people who have more monthly income than sense could “afford” ignant shite. The supply chain then broke causing higher demand and inflated prices across the board.

Companies started catering to the dumbest consumers, focusing on the highest margins, making bigger and badder shite. UTVs started off as golf carts with lawnmower engines, now they can be made street legal with enclosed cabs and A/C with a 1500cc engine. Boats are coming with 250 fourstrokes with fully integrated electronics and top speeds in the 70s. Not your pow pow’s aluminum tracker with a 50hp on it.

What people are missing is the golf carts with lawnmower engines and pow pow’s boat is still sitting on the back of the lot, you just have to ask for it. I’d be willing to bet though that a lot of the people bitching about the pricing are the ones who get talked into heated leather seats, a bigger touch screen, and all that bullshite when it actually comes time to sign on the dotted line.
