"What should we do it all these 249's?"

"Leave em"

- decision made by someone who is supposedly intelligent.

I'm sure these were meant for ANA or Afghan police units. However, everyone above the rank of E-2 should've known what was going to happen

I’m guessing it was too difficult to park all of those vehicles in a centralized location on the tarmac and string up some C4.

I honestly believe it was left on purpose to be an F you to trump and Biden by the MIC.

And now it's their excuse to go back into the ME to get rid of these terrorists

Just wait until the stories come out with the taliban letting the Chinese and Russians use that airfield

This is an absolute lock and the CCP is the betting favorite here and they're going to use Bagram to help out Iran and smuggle all sorts of goodies to the mullahs.

But with the occasional visit from the Russians as well.

Nothing new. Every time we pack it in, we leave billions of dollars in equipment behind. Hopefully, the weapons have Ben sabotaged :-)

Of course not. One of the finest airfields in that part of the world is about to be in the hands and used by some of biggest enemies of the US financed by the American taxpayer and captured without a shot being fired

frick Afghanistan, never should have been there in the first place. Waste of time, lives and money.

No shite. And the Afghan forces just gifting the hardware to the Taliban is par for the course over there.

If I'm POTUS and someone in the Oval Office proposes leaving all this equipment behind for the Afghan police, I start laughing my arse off and say frick no, it's all either getting destroyed or being brought back home to the US.

The "Afghan police" is a paper tiger that was propped up by US Military for 20 years and they don't have a snowball's chance in hell against the Taliban. They never did.

Correct.

We are led by idiots pushing pie in the sky fantasies.

No.

It's 12,000 feet long and you can land anything on it. From a Cessna 150 to an Airbus A380.

That runway should've been destroyed the moment the last USAF freighter took off from it.

Should have rigged the whole place with explosives, let them descend on it en masse, then…

I am legitimately still waiting for the trap to ensue, but with current administration, its not gonna happen. Would have been quite the tactical move.

"Raufi said many villagers have complained to him about the US leaving just their junk behind."

I'm so glad our military leaders listened to these local complaints and adjusted their plans to just give them the military equipment in good, working condition.

Because maybe they knew Trump wouldn't be leaving all these toys behind and knew that sleepy Joe would

I wonder how long it is before we have to build another airbase in order to take back the airbase we abandoned in perfect condition.

Be on the look out for the next 9/11

The trucks 8n the parking lot alone are well over $1million, probably closer to $5 million when you add it up
