How many people moved in to each of them? All are pretty transient cities.

More people probably moved to those cities in the same time frame. . This isn't a net total list.

Those are some highly transient cities that probably include a lot of regional, burbs style moves

the same reason the CNBC list of worst states to live in had the highest number of people moving into them. the word is propaganda

Those are also the most populous cities in the US. Obviously they will have more people move out (and in) than smaller cities

San Fran is too small of a city to make the list. The list is absolute, not per capita, so it’s pretty meaningless

With Texas they probably moved out of the cities into the suburbs. And those living out were backfilled by the ones leaving Chicago and LA
