That fourth wave feminism sure is something, huh?

Maybe, but the bigger issue is that many people can't afford kids.

The Midwest was the only region where every state grew in population over the year: For the first time in a decade, more people in the United States moved to the region than left it.

Wonder why people are moving to the Midwest. Low cost of living, everybody loves football, high quality healthcare and education systems, weather that doesn’t make you a pussy, and super hot women. No idea what the appeal is there.

This pyramid scheme that has taken over the U.S. federal government for the last 40 years is shaky and going to get more shaky if Trump doesn't manage to keep cutting out waste and all the bullshite we pay for outside the U.S.

Not sustainable without the base ... population... growing. It's a freaking pyramid scheme at this point.

This bloated pig shite spending and borrowing is going to lead to the crash and demise of the U.S.

We don't need more blue collar people having kids.

People don’t want to afford them

It will help, but not fix, the problem. The advent of the birth control pill flatlined our birth rates. Track per couple births before and after the pill, and change is drastic. Add to that the "career first" tendency of young women (especially young white women) and you have a problem that may not have a fix.

Back when a college education was free and when it was easier to get a good paying job without a college degree?

What a shocker!

Nope. Plenty of great looking women, but nowhere near California or the south.

People do know we can let in more legal immigrants if we want/need to, right? The default correct answer is not and should never be "just keep all the illegals and let more in". (But one side will still push that.)

College was never universally free in the US, and free tuition was largely limited to three systems: The U. Cal system, The CCNY system, and U. of Florida. Many state schools started free, but most of them quickly charged tuition once reality set in. And ALL of them, including Cal, had substantial
"fees" to offset costs. The notion that there was some golden age of free college everywhere in the US until the 70's is horseshite.

Make things more affordable and you can have more single income households, thus more kids.

Daycare is $200 a week where I live, and you'll have to leave work at least once a week to deal with something the daycare can't handle.
