-I order three breakfast sandwiches

-Cashier flips around the Clover cash register screen

-The total is about $15

-The tip options are 15%, 20%, and 25%

-I paid then realized I'm missing the third sandwich (wasn't charged either)

-Get rung up for the third sandwich, total is about $7.50

-The tip options are now $3, $4, and $5

$5 is a 66% tip

Yes i know: just hit zero. What I didn't know is that those bastards can program which tip options you see (percentages or dollar amounts) based on the total of your bill.

That's why I'm "No Tip" all the time now.

Tips are for waiters and waitresses serving me at a sit down meal only.

Yeah at this point I feel zero guilt when hitting zero.

If I'm being brought a bill, I'm tipping the service That has hopefully made my meal pleasant.

If you tapped a screen and turned it around and expect 25%?

ETA: I'll leave a dollar in a little tip jar if they don't demand it on a screen though.

It's the audacity and the inflated numbers that are the issue.

There are so many tipping threads on the OT. Y'all need to learn to cook your own food.

I love how some of you are so entitled that you don’t think you need to tip. Guess what, you voted for trump and he ruined the economy so the new minimum acceptable tip is 50%

I have to pay rent you know

I’ll hit no tip and whip that screen back around like I’m playing a reverse card in UNO

Zero guilt

You'll pack up the food I purchase, get no tip, and like it.

Why should I cook my own food? Not tipping is not a problem for me.

The point is that it's sleezy to expect/program a register to give a $3.75 tip on a $15 order and a $5 tip on a $7.50 order.

If I buy something from you for an agreed upon price why should I suddenly give you more money?

If I have a sit down meal with service I'll happily leave a tip. I refuse to tip someone for handing me a bag of food in a drive through lane.
