I tell my kids and I think they actually believe me that the real sign of a rebel, nonconformist these days is “no tattoos”.

When I was 18, I got my right side lower lip pierced and wore a little stud in it for about a year. I realized like 6 months into having it that I can't wear it and look classically pretty when I want. It got taken out within a year.
Tattoos are like that on steroids because they can't come off.
As badass as an attractive edgey/hipster type of woman can look with sleeves, tattoos completely clash something like a wedding/formal gown or a classy casual type outfit, for me personally anyway. I don't care what someone else opts to do.

I was at a pretty classy wedding recently and one of the bridesmaids was legitimately stunning but had a kind of big tattoo on her back and one of her arms.

The TV show Ink Masters is the trashiest thing I’ve ever seen. I hate that show. They think it’s cool, but the tattoos are awful

In the 80s you rarely saw them. In the back of our minds we worried it could cost us a good job down the road. The boss man quit caring. Now it seems like a prerequisite to serve me food and drinks.
