W. Edwards Deming and Joseph Juran are the founding fathers of modern quality management. Their statistical and process-driven philosophies revolutionized the automotive industry—most notably helping post-WWII Japanese automakers dominate the global market and eventually forcing U.S. car giants to completely restructure how they build vehicles.

I mean, it's not that hard to understand, but I do agree, in the last 4 years Toyota, at least with their trucks and high end SUV's have come back to the field.

I was thinking about a Tundra, but they have shite the bed.

DING DING DING!!!!!!!!!!

You are absolutely 100% correct.

Manufacturers have been forced into making these overpriced, underpowered, over-engineered plastic SNAP-TITE model pieces of shite by CAFE standards and ridiculous "safety" mandates from the NHTSA.

Toyota, Nissan, Honda, etc. couldn't build a basic cheap reliable vehicle if they wanted to. The damn feral gooberment wouldn't allow it to be sold in the USA.

First step is to abolish the EPA and burn it to the ground.

I have to disagree with you on this one specific point. These modern engine are making ponies and when you add a hybrid system they have mad torque.

I think he meant Chinese

Chinese cars will likely dominate the global auto market now

Japanese vehicles are great off road because they're built to withstand the snow conditions in Japan. Their brands are typically rated among the best vehicles for driving in the snow.

And it doesn’t hurt that the are pretty much the exclusive manufacturer for Saudi princes so we get good A/Cs. I’m still going to buy a SxS but I’m not in a hurry. The LX does everything I need and in comfort. I can’t fan girl out enough about how good the new suspension of the 300LC is.

Having many in-laws who worked in Detroit in the golden age of American cars, the drug culture was the ultimate downfall.

That is laughably wrong. Take any class of passenger vehicle from any era and compare the horsepower to that class today, and it becomes clear how wrong that is.

Consider sedans, 400hp is commonplace, 500 isn't unusual, and there are a handful over 600hp and some approaching 800hp. The horsepower wars are real and have been going on for a 1/4 century.

Just take the M3 for example, a mid 90's M3 had ~240hp and was considered quick, the current one can have over 500hp, and the next-gen all-ICE version will likely have over 600hp.

My pre-mod daily driver has 580hp and my wife's has 617hp.

Modern cars are NOT underpowered.
