StG will probably see white flight if they don’t try something, so it failing is no loss IMHO.
The high costs of private schools are making more and more people either move to outlying areas or leave the area completely. Attempting to fix this has a better shot of working than letting the death spiral continue.

It's not a huge deal and it happens a LOT all over the country. Like if her application and registration was complete when mama lived on Reiger and that's what the school will have on file, then ain't nobody going out there to verify they live there for next 4 yrs.
But if you write articles bashing something like St George and boundaries, you may wanna get them loose ends airtight first. I mean in the real world of Journalism AFTER the school paper

a. St. Joseph's Academy is in the center of Baton Rouge, well within the city limits.
b. What's wrong with Woodlawn? Are your siblings to uppity to attend a "regular" public school?

My HS girlfriend used her grandparent's address so she could go to Central over Belaire

Might be a good time to mention that Weedlawn is literally the ONLY public high school within the proposed boundaries of SG. They have 1 high school. ONE. Does EBR even care about this area?

I don't blame people for that shite. I mean it's a bit unethical and illegal but you're trying to get your kid a good education and may not be able to afford to move into the district.
I frown on pirating movies and music more than this tactic.

What has happened to my beloved alumnus' school paper...?
This fricking story looks more like something I'd read in middle school.

I find it hilarious the Reveille and others consider this white flight and South BR.
They just keep repeating it so people will believe it eventually.

No, because they have St. Michael and Episcopal to absorb the slack.

It's unethical but I understand why people do it. If we ever got into a situation where we couldn't afford private school I'd be using my deceased paw paw's address (my dad owns the house and property) and sending my little shite to Central too.
We are zoned for Tara which is complete shite now.
