The reality of Coronavirus

There is a lot of misinformation on both sides of this issue.
The reality is that two things can be true at the same time:
1. There is a novel respiratory virus that is more deadly than the flu and dangerous because of the fact that no one has immunity and it can be spread asymptomatically therefore cases can increase incredibly quickly. This is more of a problem in areas with high population density.
2. We need to get back to work or else we risk compounding the pain and suffering through unemployment and economic collapse. Sitting at home doesn’t cure the virus or solve the problem.
There is no need to create a false dichotomy.
The fake news and fear mongering is being countered with equally fake news on the other side that the virus is a hoax, the numbers are cooked, and people are dying WITH coronavirus not BECAUSE of coronavirus.
Just be honest, it’s going to suck for some but we need to deal with it and all get back to work while acting responsibly by washing our hands, wearing masks, and avoiding unnecessary interactions.
Oh and frick China for being so incompetent by letting this virus escape from their lab and trying to cover it up.

Yeah that's not fake news. They most definitely are cooking those numbers

Agreed.

I’ll grant you that point. There may be an occasional case where someone was going to die anyway. But it’s an outlier and doesn’t dominate the numbers. Just like a cancer patient can die in a car accident. What did they die of? We accept those outliers as noise in the data. The fake news comes in when you try to pretend that issue is driving the numbers.
ETA: you edited. But the statement was the people could be dying from coronavirus and with coronavirus at the same time.

Trauma caused by the car accident, if you claim cancer then you are part of the problem

I don't like the precedent and what this paves the road toward later on down the road.
Views of that however will also obviously differ.

This x1000.
Now, having our freedoms back is based on some type of conditional checklist from the local magistrate.

Lawsuits, many of them, are incoming. Wait a little while for this to get worked out in the courts.

frick yes. I think this is how 90% of people feel. It’s ridiculous to always think one side is right or to blame someone.

You can be the judge. Use common sense.

One side is far from being equally spread as the other side. People who want to open back up want to do so responsibly for the most part and that’s even if they believe the numbers are correct (not a hoax). This group is far more rational than the other.

this was literally HG wells war of the worlds radio show hoax, but this time it was done with the internet on a global scale
it was all lies and irrational hysteria from start to finish and politicians used it as a way to grab more power and force through graft and corruption under the disguise of relief efforts

You may be right. I definitely think one side has a larger platform than the other.

Can't argue with any of that.

yes, and people with diabetes and related/resulting maladies. and with people who, to put it bluntly, were going to die of something (flu, pneumonia) anyway.
and your statement about "With" v "Because" is itself misinformation. but nice try with the "agree with me so we can all come together" post.
