Bose all day
BS. I only have the QC20s to listen to IFE on long plane rides, and the noise canceling is *not* superior to wireless buds from Soundcores that cost $60. But, wireless doesn't connect to IFE (on the majority of Star Alliance airlines I travel.)
Everyone that buys expensive crap suffers from confirmation bias as to how their stuff can't be bad, because they (bought a Dodge, bought Cisco, bought Bose, bought a BMW) put their ego at stake by admitting they made a decision they weren't entirely happy with, for the price.
It either serves your purpose, or doesn't, for a price you feel like paying. Positive note, when you get old enough and you've listened to enough metal/hard rock, you become a wee bit less discerning.
Speaker-heads would talk about how they needed to spend (I'm not kidding) close to $1k a foot on "oxygen less" speaker wire to hook their speakers up to the amp talking about how much more awesome it was (this was in the 90s). That's not how electronic transmission works, but... eh, OK, I guess?
People are just looking for exclusivity.

When you get tired of junk try the Theiaudio Monarch. If you appreciate good quality sound no earbud matches them. Also better than almost any cans.
About $900 for some in-ear headphones. No thank you. I'll keep rocking with my Sennheisers.

What is the best to use as far as the sound quality on the other end of the phone call?

AirPod Pro 2 are legit
Have accidentally washed mine three times still work good as new
Active noise cancelling actually shocked me the first time it kicked in

Would generally agree for first gen, but the AirPods 2 Pro with noise cancellation are great, and the process for everything working/switching across my personal and work devices makes them really simple to use. Noise cancellation is a game changer for meetings and focused work

Tozo makes some decent hardware for their price points. I've never used air pods, so I can't speak to their sound quality.

False. I have AP Pros and they are damn solid. Now, do they have the bass and depth my JBLs had? No. Do I need that level? No. They are better all around usage however.
FTR, I didn’t pay full price.

And you didn't say better bang for your buck, you said straight up better. Let's see it
I have some Soundcloud buds that are similar or better (comfort wise, sound is similar) and cost me $49. In fact, got two for $49 since the first arrived late. Originally priced at $129
I believe they are better.

Maybe people have bad hearing
Until the last few years with people going back to vinyl and the advent of uncompressed streaming services like Tidal, Qobuz, etc. there was a generation or two or people that had only listened to compressed music in their lives. Which, btw is also what you're likely listening to from your phone.
It's not so much bad hearing as it is that people are conditioned to listening to a shitty source. Hell, CAD thought his Sonos were high quality audio and probably still does.

Which is what I use and they're very solid for the price (around $300). For flights I have a pair of Master and Dynamic headphones with noise cancelling.

I’ve been using mine 3 hours a day since November, and they sound great to me.

Air Pods, sure. The Gen 2 Pro’s are really great headphones.
No they aren’t. The Pro 2 still aren’t as good as my 1st gen Samsung earbuds (Yes I have both). And people saying “noise canceling is great.” Most decent earphones have had that for years.
The only good things about my Pro 2s are that they use the MagSafe charger and I can individually locate them by using my phone if I set them down somewhere.

I bought a pair of Beats Fit Pro headphones on Prime Day last year. They stay in my ear, the noise cancelling is excellent, they integrate in all my Apple stuff, and the sound quality is fine. Biggest thing for me is the little ear hooks. AirPods Pro don’t stay in my ear.

You mean slave labor doesn't equate to top of the line quality?
