The quality of Air Pods are shite

Lots of brands, including many that you can get for $30 are better products. You can’t compare them to even the cheapest true in ear speakers.

But they aren’t shite. That design serves a purpose. You can listen without running the risk of getting hit by a train because you aren’t completely deaf to the outside world.

That's why I have Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise Canceling Over-Ear headphones.

I don’t work for you. Queer. But I use Tozo T10s for the gym and rowing at home. $24 and sound infinitely better than AirPods. They are true in ear monitors. Not little speakers that hang from your ear. But like I said, that design has its place and I do use them on walks and places I need to hear the ambient noise.

If I’m home listening to music I’m wearing my cans.

I don’t need wireless, I prefer the old school wired headphones.

People that think AirPods are awesome are the same people that buy headphones from the checkout line at Academy. I've owned a number of Soundcore/Anker products (for different purposes) that cost 1/3 to 1/8th of the cost of AirPods and are harder to lose, provide ANC, better bass, etc.

But Apple fanbois gonna do what they're going to do. And I say this as someone that has an iPhone 15 of the last 18 years (exception being a Windows Phone.)
