Some will, yes.

If they watch John Wick, will they become contract killers for the mob? What about if they watch Harry Potter, will they become wizards?

I am not disagreeing that the over representation of certain demographics is not happening. I just think that if someone chooses to use this logic to defend a stance against it, creditability is lost.

Now why don’t you try responding in substance.

Ok dickhead, here's your "substance".

People like you either legit don't get the point of why so many are put off by this constant force feeding of all this queer shite or you pretend not to get it.

In your case? Well I don't think you're pretending. I think you're too fricking stupid to get it.

Was watching the Manti Te’o documentary last night and felt they were sympathetic to the guy who catfished him, who is now a transgender woman. Went into how he was struggling to find himself and how he found solace in American Somoa etc. I mean the guy nearly ruined Te’o’s career and they didn’t vilify that at all. It was abundantly clear the dude has a severe mental illness and was lying to people all over and bringing negative attention towards them. Was weird. But he’s transgender so we can’t vilify him and he was justified in doing what he did.

No, but as kids, they'll certainly imitate him in the yard.

It certainly influences their opinions.

You look and see you, 100% fine. You look and see different, oh no the world is ending.

About 1/2 of the relationships in that show are homosexual. Which is FAR out of proportion with reality.

That’s probably true. So what?

TV didn’t make me straight. It wasn’t going to make anyone gay.

If you think homosexuality is morally wrong (I don’t), then don’t watch or let your kids watch.

I COMPLETELY get the point that the social agenda on some media is seen as an overall degradation of morals in society at large.

I heard the same thing about dancing, drinking, pot, the end of the draft, etc., etc.

You control what you can in this world. Raise your kids. They will see what YOU do. And that will influence them more than Netflix.

Oh, I get it. I just don’t think it is new. And, in reality, it is far more diluted than it has ever been now that there are hundreds of thousands of media forms and outlets.

And I honestly think the widespread availability of porn to young men, some of it quite vile, is a much bigger problem.

Oh. And let’s not forget about Tik Tok.

Woman in a Tub?

Moms seducing teens?

If you don’t think that shite is going to worm its way into an adolescent brain, then why are you worried about gayness on Netflix?

I have a feeling you and I are close in age if I am not older and I usually am agreement with you on a lot of subjects. In this instance I find it hard to follow. I have met people who were gay when I was young and had a least two openly gay in high school, but never once did I think that I wanted to try it myself.

The ol’ ‘change the channel’ retort.

Except as a parent, you can’t, because Disney, Nickelodeon, and even Sesame Street push this filth. I miss the days when children’s programming was simply good, clean, wholesome entertainment that is age appropriate for young children. Nope, now society’s weirdos have to justify their twisted life choices by pushing it on young children? gross. I know I know, that makes me sound like a big ol racist bigot.

Baw.

Scooby Doo was all about pot. So was HR Puffinstuff. Bugs Bunny was insanely violent.

I get your point. But I’m not going to pretend this is new or REMOTELY the biggest threat to a kid’s morality.

Maybe I’m crazy, but I just don’t think tv shows and messaging can make one want to suck a cock. That’s an original seed planted deep in one’s bones from birth

No amount of messaging could make me want to do it, and you could have raised Elton John with a lumberjack family from Montana and little John would have still yearned for the cock

Most are too lazy. They’d rather let the iPad raise their kids so they can post here and binge shitty shows like Sandman.
