Exactly. And from the down votes I’m getting I see many here either have an unrealistic view of homo couples or know and just don’t like the truth being brought to light. But the fact remains, even for those homos in a “relationship”, monogamy is usually a part of the equation…

My wife is always watching something on Netflix. She’s very apathetic about politics and doesn’t really give a shite about 90% of the things that gets the OT fired up
But last week I pointed out two things to her, and while she rolled her eyes at me at first, she told me yesterday that she sees what I’m talking about and can’t unsee it now. I just told her how EVERY SINGLE SHOW she watches always has a perfectly diverse group of main actors (white male, white female, Hispanic woman, black guy/girl, and then some person that could be either Asian, Indian, middle eastern, etc)… then on top of that, any time the villain is some sort of psycho deranged killer, it ALWAYS has to be a white guy
And I’d wager that over half of the shite on Netflix has some sort of homosexual or interracial activity. It’s just strange to me. I don’t understand WHY it has to be that way

But they are a tiny fraction of the population.
The thread is about over representation in Culture and that over representation is presented by some pretty nefarious people.
Many Conservatives have gay friends and relatives, stop being so simple.

It's really sad and quite telling that a scripted TV show could influence how people think and act (rather than real life situations).
ahh, the “thin skin” retort. although somewhat valid, the expectations of who should have thicker skin don’t seem to apply to both sides of the political spectrum.
But since you brought up the political angle, the reason these types of shows are being thrown in our face is the same reason racism is thrown in our face...to keep us divided and fighting among ourselves (left vs. right, white vs. black, gay vs. straight, etc.).
As I stated, the weak-minded will fall for this trick every time, as illustrated in this thread.

SOme are commenting that its overrepresented, which there is no doubt. I think its mainly because pop culture is highly populated with gays. There's not a real reason to be offended.

while i agree with you this may be a side objective of politicians and the news media. you think that movie/tv and streaming service platforms are colluding at the same time and pace to create more division in the country? rather than just trying to increase profits for shareholders while also doing some virtue signaling? interesting.

The answer to your question is its propaganda designed to promote the leftist political agenda. Starting in 2012 under Barrack Obama the Democrat Party started a Stradegy of putting together what they call the “intersectional coalition”. Their aim was to put together a voting block of pretty much every “group” outside of white males.
To achieve this aim, the Democrat Party utilized all their resources in the media to (1) foster a sense of identification by sexuality, race, and gender (2) foster a sense of victimhood in those groups (3) foster a sense of this victimization being the result of white Americans and (4) suppress anything that does not conform to the party narrative regarding the “intersectional coalition”.
So what you’re seeing in the media, including entertainment like Netflix, is the Democrat Party’s Stradegy of pushing propaganda to grow their “intersectional coalition”. The fact you see this sort of propaganda everywhere you turn, coupled with the fact anything that goes against this narrative is suppressed, shows the degree of control leftists have over media in the US today.

Yes, it's why we will have an entire generation of kids who believe Alexander Hamilton was black, and Joan of Arc was a trans person. The entire MONTH of June has been hijacked, and if your company doesn't put out a "We hear you, we see you, we stand with you" statement, you're on the naughty list. Either you conform to the Democrat party narrative or you’re canceled. This shows how totalitarian they’ve become. They cannot tolerate anything that challenges their narrative and seek to silence dissent by whatever means they deem necessary.
