The fact that this was not a legal citizens arrest
That will be settled in court not on Tigerdroppings (pretty sure that actually isn't a fact). I'm not going to say whether it was or was not justified because I'm not informed all the ends and outs of that. That maybe why you think I'm ignoring that.

some incredible linguistic gymnastics in order to cover for the McMichaels.
I'm pretty sure I have not once stated that I think the McMichaels are innocent or guilty of whatever you want to accuse them of. I have asked questions and provided a counter point (devils advocate) to some points raised in this thread.

In Georgia, as a private citizen, you have no authority to arrest anyone with a warrant. Without a warrant, you may arrest anyone who commits a misdemeanor or a felony in your presence or with your immediate knowledge. A citizen's arrest occurs when a citizen prevents a suspect from leaving a scene.

I have not speculated about things that can not be seen in the video, i.e. that Travis was pointing the shotgun at Arbery when he came around the truck.
You can't see Arbery while he's in front of the truck, yet you've stated he was running at Travis McMichael.
How do we know Arbery was still in the state of Georgia during this still photo?

In the video, Travis doesn’t exit the cab until after Arbery is passing on the passenger side. He then moved to the front of the truck with gun drawn and intercepts Arbery.
Wrong!

Welcome to the conversation multiple pages back where we already discussed this.

you absolutely know without a doubt that the McMichaels had zero knowledge of what had previously happened? If you do ok it wasn't a legal citizens arrest. I'm just not sure all of the info is out in the public.

We do. You ignored that part already.

You think this is some kind of gotcha?
You can see Arbery on the passenger side of the truck take off towards Travis and on the drivers side of the truck still going after Travis. So yes Arbery was running in front of the truck.

Does the McMichael's statements in the police report suffice as evidence of that?

No, I think you're reaching a logical conclusion from the evidence despite not being able to directly see it on the video.
My only problem is you refuse to do the same with the actions of the McMichaels.

You are absolutely sure? Are you in the DA's office where they are investigating this case?

So they were both moving to the front of the truck. Why does Arbery not have the same courtesy of self-defense as McMichael, especially when he was unarmed?

which actions? the citzens arrest stuff?
Posted on 5/12/20 at 1:22 pm to Red Stick Tigress
The McMichaels were outside the law in damn near every way. They had zero proof at all to chase down and attempt to detain Arbery. Zero. Maybe dad was trying to relive his glory days as an investigator or something, but the proof is on them to prove they had enough for a citizen's arrest. From their earlier statements it doesn't appear they are even close to proof.

Have you reviewed all of the videos, listened to the 911 audio of both calls as well as read the full police report?

No, Travis McMichael having the gun up when he fires the first shot prior to Arbery getting to him.
You've said for pages the video doesn't directly show the gun position despite the same sprt of logical inferences about where it was pointing.
Edit: here's your exact quote.

Only the dumbasses buying into the "he was just jogging" narrative think the McMichaels set out to shoot him.
They have to continue the "jogging" narrative. Americans of all races just don't care about a thief dying. Most will agree he didn't deserve to die but Americans just won't care if he died stealing. Even if we also think the killers deserve jail.

I'm not going to say Travis and Arbery were doing the same thing.

One thing that is unknown is who caused the trigger to be pulled.
