When was a shotgun pulled on Arbery?

Bingo.
The McMichaels had been following Arbery for blocks and cutting him off. They set up a roadblock and Travis McMichael jumps out and points a shotgun at Arbery.
It's totally reasonable for Arbery to think he's gonna get shot and try to defend himself.

What is your evidence of this?
If it was McMicheal's intention to shoot Arbery why would he wait until Arbery was close enough to touch the shotgun to pull the trigger?

In the video, Travis doesn’t exit the cab until after Arbery is passing on the passenger side. He then moved to the front of the truck with gun drawn and intercepts Arbery.
It’s literally all there in the video.

Does a gun have to be pointed to be threatening? I suppose you'll argue next time someone with a gun gets shot by police that as long as he wasn't pointing it, he was within his open carry rights?
The gun didn't have to be pointed for it to be a crime. It'll be argued that pursuing AA illegally with guns in hands and blocking his path was sufficient to qualify as aggravated assault, and he was within his rights to defend himself.

Thank you. It's nice to know there's some sanity.
What evidence do I have? Other than the video of it happening, not much, but there is that video.

This is not true. We actually never see travis inside the truck on the video. He is outside the truck and standing on the opposite side of street with a gun in his hands when the video starts.

This is a fully, nearly fully, built house that happened to have been renovated and nobody's living there.
Our first house was in a new section of the neighborhood and we were one of first ones that moved in. We walked through damn near every unfinished house on the block. We weren't stealing anything. Just checking out other houses.

You see him literally raising and aiming his shotgun at AA??

I applaud you. You've consistently been the stupidest poster to come in these threads, and that's saying a lot.

He didn't point the shotgun at him intending to shoot. He pointed it playing tough guy and thinking Arbery woould stop and cower.
He pointed the shotgun to intimidate Arbery, then panicked when Arbery didn't stop for McMichael's unlawful show of force.
That's my 2 cents on what happened.

You can see the son with a gun drawn, and you see the dad in the bed of the truck with a pistol drawn as the video shows him running up to the truck. Assuming in arguendo that the son doesn't pull the gun until he sees Arbery "charging," they were still not only the instigators, they heightened the use of force expected to be used by having guns.
A 1L crim law class would pretty easily be able to dissect this case and come to the conclusion it likely isn't a valid self-defense claim.

You can see a still of Arbery running up to the truck on the right. See how the driver's door is closed.
You see Travis McMichael has opened the driver's door and gone around it by the time Arbery gets to him.

When Arbery runs up on the truck, the door is shut and you can't see Travis along the road. This is at the 11 second mark of the video.
He starts to veer around the truck to the passenger side at 16 seconds, still no Travis in the screen and the door is still closed.
There's a whole lot of wobbly camera and then we hear the first shot at 20 seconds. The cab door is now open and you can see Travis McMichael at the front of the truck.

Why'd you ask him to read the guy's mind then shite on him for giving an explanation

You asked about what his intent was. Unless you're Travis McMichael, that all either of us can offer, inferences from actions.

Isn't the saying always "if you pull your gun be prepared to use it"? These two idiots didn't go looking to kill them a black guy, but if you are bringing guns to chase down someone, you have to at least think you may end up using it. I would need to go back and reread the Georgia murder statute, but I don't think they need malice aforethought for it to stick.
I still think a felony murder charge would stick, but I know some other lawyers on here have disagreed.

It all goes back the aggressor doctrine and you don't need an intent to shoot to be an aggressor.
What would any reasonable person think was occurring when two guys block your path and exit their vehicle armed?
The answer is that the most reasonable perception of those events is that the two people intend to harm you in some manner thus making them the aggressor.
