Arvery dodged to the passenger side of the truck to avoid Travis McMichael and his shotgun. When Arvery did this Travis moved to continue the confrontation.
What if Arbery ran around the passenger side of the truck to try and catch Travis by surprise by going in front of the truck to confront Travis?
Since we are coming up with reasons why Arbery ran on the passenger side I came up with one.

Wouldn't really matter, legally at that point. AA is entitled to use whatever force necessary as he is defending himself from a felony aggravated assault

Arbery must have some incredible ability to see the future to predict Travis would come around front and fall into his "surprise" attack.
Also, now Arbery is unarmed and looking to pick a fight with two armed guys because...reasons?

You are asking me for reasons? Hell if know but that is what he did. Arbery is definitely the one that runs up on Travis.

Which reason is more likely given the scenario?
Let's temporarily throw Occam's Razor out the window and say he did go around the passenger side in order to fool Travis. He's in flight mode from being chased by not just the McMichaels but from their buddy "Roddy" with the camera who is coming up behind Arbery.
To put it more plainly, by chasing Arbery with no knowledge of his having committed a recent crime they are the aggressors. By continuing to chase him after he tried to initially avoid them on Burford, they doubled-down on this. When Arbery sees Travis out with a shotgun, he has a reasonable expectation that his life is in danger and under the eyes of the law he is within his legal rights to defend himself.
They, on the other hand, were involved in an illegal attempt to stop someone (as they had no direct knowledge of his committing a felony) and compounded that by brandishing the shotgun.

Which he does AFTER Travis moved toward Arbery. The sequence of events is
1. Arbery went around toward the passenger side of the vehicle
2. Travis moved in that same direction.
3. Arbery engaged.
And remember, this is after Arbery has already tried to avoid them at least twice thus far.

Then why would he jog around the passenger's side as a surprise attack? He would then have to loop in front, get around the driver's side door, all while an armed man is looking at him from the truck bed.

There's a simple explanation that he's responding to Travis coming around front with the shotgun after trying to avoid the McMichaels again by jogging around them.
If you want to propose that Arbery intended to start a fight with them, yes, I think it's reasonable to ask you why you think he'd have intentionally engaged two armed men while unarmed.
My theory is it's a reaction to Travis coming around front with the shotgun and that he wouldn't have engaged them absent that action. That's the point where Arbery can conclude he'd have to take the gun or get shot.
It's fairly simple reasoning.

Which also falls in line with Arbery's attempt to avoid them at least twice prior to this confrontation.

Yeah. I'm not sure what Civil's point is.
Reacting to Travis's moving around front fits every piece of the scenario. Short of being able to talk to the dead, it's the best we can do, but everything points to Arbery looking to avoid confronting them until Travis comes around front.

I'm just putting myself in Arbery's position and not looking at any other situations leading up to where he is coming up on the truck and goes around the passenger side there is no way in hell I would run up (pretty much attack) someone with a shotgun because they were on the other side of the truck because he took a few side steps. Travis gets no closer to Arbery if he kept running straight.
Now if I was planning on attacking Travis I would absolutely run on the passenger side of the truck and loop back around hoping that maybe he thought I would keep running straight.

I still don’t see any justification for hunting him down full guns blazing. That was never going to end well. It looks like they wanted to shoot him dead.
It's amazing to me hearing such divergent portrayals of events. I didn't see or conclude this whatsoever.
It looks to me like Arbery was reasonably frightened by armed civilians confronting him. It also appears that he was shot because he attempted to grab the gun. I didn't see guns blazing or intent to kill him until he grabbed the gun. It helps nothing sensationalizing the events.

All while ignoring the most plausible explanation.
Travis circled around the front and shoved the shotgun directly at Arbery forcing Arbery to defend himself.
It takes a hell of a lot of mental gymnastics to ignore this.

Then you're not in Arbery's position. In Arbery's position, he'd already been confronted once.

He doesn't have to get closer to fire a shot. I don't think why it's odd to assume the only reason Travis would move in front of the truck was because he didn't want Arbery to run around. From Arbery's perpective, that means he might use the shotgun.

So you should be able to provide a still shot from the video of Travis "shoved the shotgun directly at Arbery".

again if it was their intention to shoot Arbery why didn't they shoot him at on of the other two confrontations?
