They had a roadblock? Arbery effectively ran by the truck then crossed in front of it to confront Travis. And when does Travis "come around the front"?

Any reasonable person would.

And that is standard.

They did not though, and even if they thought they did it likely doesn't matter as a mistake of law is not a defense.

You really want to open up the can of worms that that will lead down, because it would be very bad for the McMichaels.

Go read the other post... the 77 page discussion.

This is going to turn into that one.

I mean it does seem that Greg was an investigator (based on statement from DA) in a previous prosecution of Arbery. It will surely come up in the trial.

and why do you presume it will look bad for McMichael?

When AA makes his left turn, travis is at the left side headlight of the truck. Travis moves from about 4 to 5 feet to the left of the truck to even with the driver's side headlight.

A parked car in one lane and an armed man in the other is a roadblock to me and every other reasonable person.

There’s a reason B&E exists. Hard to convict someone of burglary if they don’t take anything.

Okay? But did he steal anything or not? I was young and dumb once and entered a newly built empty house just to check it out.

I still don’t see any justification for hunting him down full guns blazing. That was never going to end well. It looks like they wanted to shoot him dead.

Before 5 minutes in he says AA would be guilty of burglary because he says "looking around in a house" implies intent to steal.

And it's completely irrelevant as pertains to the confrontation with the McMichaels since they had absolutely no knowledge of this event. The elder McMichael saw only that a black male they thought might be involved in some thefts "was hauling arse" down the road as he (Arvery) passed Greg McMichael's house.

Georgia citizen's arrest statute is predicated on them having witnessed or firsthand knowledge of a felony. They did not have this, therefore, they did not have the authority to perform a citizen's arrest.

If they witnessed him break a window and enter a house then walk out with a 72 inch flat screen, then they could have possibly performed one. Seeing a security camera footage of a person looking around a house under construction is likely not grounds for one.

Ok and he ran by the roadblock without a shot being fired and confronts Travis then a shot is fired.

Where are you going with this lol.

Blocking the road while armed attempting an illegal detention of someone is aggravated felony assault.

And IF they ever saw such a tape, they didn't see the one from that day.

It's completely irrelevant because it was under construction. Tatum missates that it was under renovation.

The exposed studs, lumber on the unfinished floors contradict everything this EX-cop states.
