I just watched the video. I'm not at all claustrophobic and now my blood pressure is pounding.

frick that.

I've done some caving in Arkansas, but I don't see the allure of worming and crawling through tunnels that tight.

Horrifying way to go.

I watch a bunch of these types of stories. What strikes me about this is that the people involved are so sure everything is fine, until it very quickly is not. Strange how death can appear to ambush people, or how people can just walk into it and death just closes the door behind them.

You're right. It's technically a tragedy.

Your attitude is the disaster.

I read about this the other day. The fact they could get to him and actually get ropes around but not able to pull him up because of the angle he was in is heart breaking. Cant imagine being that close to be able to save someone only to not be able to do so.

Can you imagine, looking at the angle he was at, that when they started considering breaking his legs to get him out, how badly they would have had to have broken them to get him out?

Thanks for sharing. As an outdoor enthusiast, reading these stories keeps me grounded and aware of our mortality.

What a stupid way to die.

Will never understand how people put themselves in these positions.

I don't think I can read that. I got a sinking feeling in my stomach at, "Entering the cave".
