I’ve always dreamed of finding an unexplored cave/cavern in north Arkansas. But , no water, no tight places, and with 4 extremely powerful flashlights with backup batteries. Very specific in my dreams.

Man, I've read about this many times but never saw that video. The video bring a whole other level of weird to me. Just the animations alone of how his body was contorted and had to contort to get to where he was made my skin crawl. I'm not very claustrophobic, but that shite gave me anxiety watching it.

I'll have to check out the movie. Apparently it's called The Last Descent, and it's available on Prime and Peacock.

That's the problem......most all the easy caves have already been discovered.

If it happens that you do discover a new cave, though, remember that you get to name it.

calm down.

He's wasn't Roald Amundsen trying to reach the South Pole. He was a guy who went into a dark hole in the ground and got stuck.

You don’t realize that your dismissal of what happened here - a guy going to have a good time with his family versus a guy going on an epic quest to do something superhuman and prepping for the possibility of death at every possible turn - actually brings to light just how terrifying this situation is.

Well hopefully his kid, who's growing up w/o his father, has a little more sense than his old man.

Hell…I didn’t realize the cave had already been closed previously because so many people had gotten stuck and had to be rescued.

frick all of that.

200 lb. guy squeezing thru what he thought was the "Birth Canal" was a bad idea from the start.

I have been cave spelunking several times but nothing like this. Tightest spot I have been in was as high as a dinner table and 3 feet wide and I really did not like it.
When I listened to this story on YouTube I woke up several times at night with high anxiety. What a terrible situation to put yourself in.

He just got his tunnels mixed up and paid the price. Before he made his fatal decision he wanted to turn back but could not turn around so decided to press forward. He should have just inched backwards as best he could when he realized it was a mistake b/c the tunnel was too tight.

I watched a movie about this incident called The Last Descent. It was pretty low budget but gives me chills just thinking about it.
