Are all game wardens figs or just the ones in LA?
They all are.
Saw a video of some dude magnet fishing off a bridge in FL near a military base. The guy called the state wildlife department to ask if he could magnet fish off that specific bridge and they said yes. The guy ended up pulling up flares and even some UXO (belted ammo). He did the right thing and called the cops and the cops called the MP’s. Everyone rolls out sees what he found and thanked him for letting them know what he found. Then the warden showed up. It was some old fat frick that reamed the kid’s arse because he said it’s illegal to fish off that bridge. He told him he called and was told it was ok but the guy told him he was fishing off the wrong side of the bridge. He ended up writing the kid a $1000 ticket. Dude was a massive tool.

There’s a reason folks are told to leave the fawns alone.
Last year I pulled up at the gate of my property to find a hours old fawn laid beside the one of the gate posts in some some short grass. It wasn’t a good place to have left the fawn, but I figured the mother was close by feeding so I left it.
Five hours later when I went to leave, the fawn had moved across the road to the other gate post. I grabbed a trail camera, set it on the fawn and went home.
It was well after midnight before its mother came back and retrieved it. There are two types of people who pick fawns up. Those who don’t know anything about deer and those who just want a cute pet.
Leave the fawns alone.

If that deer was blind, which it is, the doe would have more than likely left it behind to ensure survival of the healthy fawns and herself.

Agreed, but sadly it’s a situation where LDWF does t have the manpower to investigate every call they receive about someone picking up a phone.
I suppose the answer is to kill those being kept by folks.
My only real complaint with how they handle this is they don’t communicate with the public what they do with the fawns when found. If they shared that they kill them, maybe folks would stop picking them up.

Fricking gay Mormons. Never ever call them for any abandon animals. They'll just take them down a dirt road and shoot it.

I've heard TONS of stories like that... but I've never heard anyone ever tell me a story of a positive encounter with Green Jeans

Actually they do

Then LDWF should’ve fricked off and left these people alone

Where were all these blind deer when I was hunting?

You can bet your sweet arse this won't make it to the Louisiana Law TV series.

Those people don’t own the wildlife….even if it’s on their property. There are laws for a reason.
I’m not saying I agree or disagree, just pointing out that they consider it stealing from the public

I mean beyond the pamphlet. They should do social media PSA’s where they tell people the deer will be killed.
Many times it’s non hunters who find fawns and try and rehabilitate them. Those folks aren’t reading the yearly game and fish laws.

The deer was 100% blind, and was definitely abandoned.
Posted on 8/7/25 at 9:34 pm to geauxbrown
It was completely blind and helpless. Wouldn’t have survived a week if they hadn’t saved it.

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) Enforcement Agents received information about a deer in a pen at Mr. Sibley’s residence. Agents made contact with Mr. Sibley on Dec. 22 and found the partially blind deer in a fenced-in area on his property. Agents issued Mr. Sibley a citation for illegal possession of a wild game quadruped, which carries a $250 to $500 fine and up to 90 days in jail. He was also charged with civil restitution for the deer, totaling $1,624. An LDWF biologist was called to the residence, and he seized the captive deer.
talk about a sack of shite..would be different id they were trapping deer and selling either the deer or meat but this is just stupid. The "agents" need to go do some serious soul searching..

They all are.
They all think they are basically FBI agents

Eliminate hunting and fishing license fees if they are going to continue doing this stupid shite.

My opinion is we are part of Mother Nature and us humans randomly intervening (for better or worse) is all part of the system.
Animals get lucky all the time and that’s what happened to this deer when those people stumbled upon it.
