Trash even uses shopping carts as trash cans. That really grinds my gears.

I never realized how gross the litter problem was in LA until I moved away.
It's really gross and depresses me every time I go home.
With the amount yall are taxed and the amount of prisoners available, you'd think it would die cleaner

This one I do not understand. You have to pretty much have no respect for anything if you are okay with throwing dirty diapers on the ground for someone else to pick up. How fricking lazy do you have to be?
Trash is a huge problem in Louisiana. Ive seen places in other states that were trashy, but it's not as consistent as it is in Louisiana. Can you imagine what our waterways would look like if they ever drained them? I don't go in the boat as often as I use to, but the shite we would see people throwing in the water. We would see people getting ready to go in.. Instead of just going put it in the garbage, they would fill up they styrofoam ice chest to weigh it down.. And just throw it out, filled with trash..
Cans, bottles, paper.. Whatever they buy before getting in the water, when they open it on the boat.. Instead of putting it in some type of trash bag to throw away later... they just toss it in the water.. I don't know what it is, but people don't give a frick when it comes to their trash.

Litter has gotten massively worse the last few years.
The toll roads in Texas are usually picked up and clean, but non-toll roads are a massive dump, especially in urban areas.. the crooks are using it to convince us how much better tolls are.

I drove by perkins on Sunday morning after the St Patrick parade. The road was covered in trash. Even Waze had me detouring around that shite. You people are trashy as frick.
This year was bad. Way more garbage in the streets this year than I ever recall seeing.

Baton Rouge has had a horrible litter problem for years, and nothing is ever done about it. It's absolutely disgusting and inexcusable. Apparently, it's not something that the mayor and metro council view as being very important.

Why can't we get prisoners out to pick this shite up
I see this every day here in Austin. There is always a litter clean up crew out somewhere. I've never seen one in Baton Rouge.

I'm even buying a trash grabber thing the lawn guys use. $15 on amazon.

travel the Basin Bridge (east) starting in Henderson. Look over the left side as soon as you are on the bridge. its fricking disgusting. All the trash that floated up with the high water is now just sitting on the highlands.
This state is by far the nastiest, trashiest, shittiest state when it comes to litter.

It's embarrassing
The grass medians that are filled with trash just get mown over, shredded up even more. I watched a guy walking out of Winn Dixie (Prairieville) yesterday, open a pack of gum and throw the plastic wrapper on the ground. I shook my head at him and he looked fricking clueless.

its very rare to see street sweepers in BR. What amazes me the most though is the litter along interstates...pisses me off

They like putting our tax dollars in their pockets rather than pay the security guards to watch them pick up trash or fill the gas tanks in trucks/buses to bring them to pick up trash.

they run one in WBR every so often. Trouble is, as soon as the convicts pick up the trash, some frick stick trashy bastard litters all over again.

It all starts with education and people caring about where they live.
Introduce stiff fines for littering. Huge penalty if you're hauling debris with load not tarped or properly secured.
A glass deposit would help as well. This will get people picking up glass bottles everywhere.
But the trash in Louisiana is astonishing. Dont see it changing anytime soon though.

This reminds me. I almost stepped on a used condom getting out of the car Saturday morning to walk to parade route. This was in Brooks Park.

Bingo! I don't think I've ever seen an anti-litter PSA in Baton Rouge.

I was in Apex/Raleigh over the weekend. I must've commented 15 times about how clean it was, and 40 times about how nice it was to not have traffic on the toll road. I mean zero traffic. Didn't hit the brakes once for 20 minutes, and we were going 80. Did that trip 10 times, with the same result every time.
Got back to LA and was immediately driving like Jeff Gordon just to go 80 in a 70
The difference was astonishing

It's bad in most places in S La. People who litter are fricking worthless. I just don't understand it.
Unfortunately it is a problem for the whole state-not just South Louisiana. It really bothers me when I see all the trash along the roads and in all the waterways.
