Why can't we get the intersections cleaned from all the debris and piles of rocks in them?

The rocks at intersections is what I noticed most about my two trips through BR. Only other place is sand at the beach. Mind boggling

I remember those days of living in BR. Opening up the car door to get out in various parking lots only to see piles of chicken bones, crawfish shells, dirty dipes, etc. Disgusting and embarrassing for my kids to have to see while they ask me why people would do that.

I have yet to see anything like that since moving out of Louisiana. Not sure what it is in the people that trash their own towns. Makes no sense.

I mean it's not like BR didn't just have the worst disaster in its history contributing to the trash everywhere. A lot of trash was never picked up and it's just getting spread around. It's nomally just bad but now it's really bad as a result.

Not an excuse. Baton Rouge has been dirty as shite for years. The flood was back in August. You'd think that the city/parish would clean up by now. There is a mattress and a washing machine in the ditch near the intersection of Perkins and Bluebonnet. It's been there since I came back to visit my family during the Christmas holidays. Why aren't there street sweepers or litter clean up crews out regularly?

People that litter are low intelligence and low class trash.

It's that simple.

It's our cultcha man. Respect it.

I bet right now you could survey every Walmart parking lot in this state and probably find 30 dirty diapers. 20 empty McDonalds bags, and 20 empty fried chicken chicken bags in total.
And 500 cigarette butts

These same kind of people also leave their buggies in parking spaces at grocery stores.

And all within 30 feet of one of the 25 Trash Cans they have set up at the Shopping Cart Coral.

Louisiana is trashed up in general, but South Texas Messicans take littering to a new level.

Louisiana needs a more aggressive public campaign. Texas has a program where you can report littering. You fill out some info, DOT looks up the offender's plates and mails them a trash bag and a letter saying keep your trash off of Texas streets.

And you're goddamn right I've narc'd on these assholes.

I can't even get Baton Rouge to consistently empty the trash cans on my street. And recycling, forget about it. Before anyone says just call 311, I'm not going to do that once a week. Ridiculous

It would be better if people didn't feel entitled to litter in the first place.

You're not lying. My trashed was missed 3 times in a row. Called after the second and after watching the truck ride by the third time. The operator told me, it's been reported as "picked up." I was dumbfounded bc I just watched it drive by and skip 3 houses.
