Drive through Tunica Hills north of St Francisville. Trashy fricks toss EVERYTHING over the side of the roads into ravines. Old lawnmowers, hot water tanks, appliances, bags of trash. Would be a beautiful place.

Why can't we get our people to have pride in our city/State and not litter.

Many Louisianians have a "laissez faire" attitude which means that they can do whatever they want and F*** anyone who disagrees with them.

It is an embarrassment, especially when you travel to states like Montana or North Dakota where you don't see litter for miles.

Yeah i once saw this fat arse blond bitch in a red BMW throw an entire McDonald's bag and cup out at a red light. I pulled up next to her after it turned green. She was a pig. Didn't surprise me one bit.

Baton Rouge is a complete dumpster fire in respect to so many things, litter being one.

Prisoners should do everything. Litter, repaving roads, cut grsss, put up street signs. Most of what the shitty DOTD does, prisoners should do.

We passed a law recently that if you were caught tossing litter out your car window you would be ticketed and the money would go to State Troopers retirement fund.

Why wouldn't some of that go to cleaning up the litter?

I mentioned a couple months ago I returned to Louisiana for a funeral. Traveling on I-10 west going through BR I was appalled by the shite laying onside the road. Don't get me started about when I looked off to the side roads along that route. BR CLEAN YOUR shite UP!!

TRASH DUMP BR

Pisses me off every day driving around Baton Rouge and seeing the trash every where. I just don't understand why people litter.

What's really sad is those that try to act like every place has litter. That the litter in BR (and Louisiana in general) is no big deal.

Means they have just accepted that this is "normal", everywhere....not realizing that is so far from the truth.

in all fairness, I saw a pretty good bit of litter when driving around Glendale and Vegas. Not saying its as rampant as it is in La. but littering isn't unique to this place. Louisiana just excels at the amount and overall coverage of littering.

Then you say mostly minorities. The majority of littering that I have seen around BR in my 30 years here are from grown arse adults.

so you're not a minority once you become an adult? Interesting.

I have noticed that has gotten worse recently. It's ridiculous.

That is the point I was trying to make as well

Go drive around some of the Indian Reservations in AZ or the "rough" parts of PHX metro....the litter there can be bad as well. But like you mentioned...the amount and overall coverage of litter is MUCH more noticeable in Louisiana. People I know that are not originally from LA that have traveled there have made similar comments to me about litter in LA.

Same here in Florida. Drive through a major city here you just don't see all the trash like myself and my brother saw driving through Nola and BR. I hate to say it but the word shite hole was mentioned. Any person driving through the state not from there would notice it. Grew up there and most of my family is there but it is dirty.

Yeah had a coworker (from AZ) visit NOLA for the first time with her bf(he has family there). I was asking her what she thought of NOLA and where they went, etc. She said she had a great time there but didn't realize just how dirty the city was.

Could not help to notice it on the interstate while stuck in the traffic.

You notice everything including those potholes on I-10 in Nola. I won't beat a deadhorse here.
