There was a charging station at an HEB near me and almost all of the users were black folk. The same charging station caused problems as the users were blocking traffic to back into parking spots and generally not cooperating with customers entering and exiting the grocery store lot.

They've moved on to airplanes and spaceships.

He ain't lieing. 20 years from now a triple digit miliage Hellcat is going to be worth millions. 10's of millions if it had a full tank of gas.

I thought these were successful and profitable lines. Why would they be dropped?

They also ended the Chrysler 300
For as much grief is given to the Charger and Challenger for being owned primarily by a certain demographic, those vehicles don't hold a candle to the Chrysler 300.

plenty of white people drive chargers, they just don’t do donuts in the middle of college drive with them

Say what you want, but my 1980's shitbox is worth almost 6 times MSRP. Nostalgia wins out.

I really hate that a certain demographic made me hate those cars. When they first came out I liked the fact they were bringing back traditional muscle cars
Posted on 12/28/23 at 11:25 am to jmarto1
Why did they discontinue them?

Yeah, that isn't a good investment.

Because muh climate change has somehow convinced companies to lose billions of dollars making cars nobody wants to buy and 60% of people can’t afford.
Probably due to mpg standards. Govt requires manufacturers to average a certain fuel efficiency and Biden has increased that amount. Cars with big souped up Hemis bring the average down and Chryslers most profitable lines are Ram trucks and Jeeps so the muscle cars must go.
While I don’t like Chrysler due to poor quality I have appreciated the fact that they ignored the green bullshite longer than other companies. Chrysler made their name decades ago by producing powerful and fast vehicles. They never were known for top quality or luxury but rather the iconic muscle cars they created. They held on to that as long as they could and I expect they may be the first of the big 3 to go under if the green/EV bullshite continues. Jeep, Ram, and the Chrysler Minivans are profitable but I’m not sure how they’ll meet the increasing mpg standards. They have no EVs or compact or full size sedans now.

I bought this same model Challenger for my Dad on his 75th birthday five years ago. 10K miles and I paid $30K. He has since put 40K miles on it. Now, the last thing on my mind at the time was the thought of a 500 HP American made brick rocket being an "investment". That said, it is the only vehicle I have ever owned that has increased in value every year since purchase, especially considering it has been a daily driver since day 1. I am also shockingly surprised how well the fit and finish has held up after burning through three sets of tires from my Dad reliving his Don Prudhomme fanboi days.
I only hope my "investment" remains solid after removing the day-glo yellow ground affects protection covers.

It really hasn't though. It is worth the same amount, if you can sell it for that price listed.
