We hear about all of the inequity in this world, but no one ever seems to care about all of the little boys who have been falling behind starting in middle school for decades now.

This guy cares. I’ve listened to several of his podcasts on the subject, and I think he’s spot on.

Well when a certain side of the political ilse has waged a war on education and college in general, the past 10 years, it's no wonder there is a drop in numbers.

You're right.

The left waged a war on education when y'all decided skin color and gender matter more than merit.

We wonder why boys loved the male teacher who shot it straight, didn't take shite, and had a bit of humor in him.
having a male teacher in elementary school (and of course high school) is so important and often overlooked

you never know

Older one dropped out of LSU and is doing a radiology technician program. I always figured she wouldn't enjoy a 4 year college but she tried it.

The younger one is more interested in academics and will most likely stick with the traditional college route.

Yeah, #2 is entering lsu in the fall, he’s a good student but he likes to DO things - I think he should do physical therapy or something like that

But we shall see, at least he’s not a philosophy major

The lack of scholarships for white males is what is truly astonishing !
I just had twin boys graduate high school. 3.785 gpa and 3.8 gpa respectively. Both in JROTC program at Mandeville High.
Didn’t qualify for Navy ROTC scholarship.
Were declined for Marine Corps ROTC scholarship.
Applied for MANY other scholarships from everywhere. One son got a couple amounting to less than $10k total. Other son nothing !
Too male; Too pale. It’s a fact !

This fallacy that everyone should go to college needs to die

IMO, high school guidance counselors really started pushing this narrative around the same time the government got involved in the student loan game.

They get wined and dined by colleges all the time to do this, because colleges know that student loans can't be discharged in bankruptcy. They can charge whatever they want for tuition and it is guaranteed to get paid to them.

There are male elementary teachers? The only one I had in 90s Jefferson Parish was the P.E. teacher

Uh, trade school? You understand the difference between a university like the OP is talking about and trade schools…I assume?

It makes you wonder if the lack of men in colleges are leading to women leaving college as entitled and self loathing individuals (more than they are generally), never really getting the experience of socially mingling with the opposite sex in their early adult years

It doesn't make me wonder that.

Today they're better off getting a trade than a degree.

One is the fact that like 87% of k-12 teachers are female so it shouldn’t be surprising females do better in a situation like this.

Imagine the disappointment the typical OT baw would have if his son came to him and said "Dad, I want to be a 2nd grade teacher when I grow up".
