And a 700 dollar per year inspection fee.

Can that just be rolled into the car loan?

Right? Or what if someone wants to drive around their property? Or the hunting camp?

What if there is a serious accident and someone has had a beer and or 2 but is still plenty sober enough to drive? What’s gonna happen when someone dies because they can’t get to the hospital? What happens when it malfunctions or gets a false positive.

There are a thousand reasons this nanny state bullshite should be thrown out on its arse. Good intentions hardly ever come to good outcomes when it comes to government

This should take years to debate.

Yep. DUIs are a huge money maker for the criminal justice system

Just keep a tank of compressed air and breathing mask in the car. Or hey what about just rolling the windows down?

You see no problem with the state treating you like a criminal until you prove your innocence to them?

Do you pull shades down in your home? Why not leave them up to ensure that the state can monitor your actions to ensure that you're not breaking any laws? After all, if you have nothing to hide...

Honestly, this kind of thing is a stunning intrusion and removal of basic rights. Have we really come THAT far in the past 20 months where this sounds remotely normal to some of you?

And I say all this as a guy that rarely drinks and actually wish for Draconian punishments for drinking and driving. This is not that...at all. A crime would have had to happen for that to take place.

This is precrime.

Redistribute the wealth, get more dependent upon government support & dictate your lifestyle. Somehow this is not my idea of a democracy

Maybe we should put a governor on everyone's vehicle to make sure they can't exceed the speed limit on the particular road they are on? Everyone who supports this should be for that too right?

I bet this same kind of argument was made when seatbelts were mandated.

Progressive thinking. One knife cut hurts, guess it will not hurt anymore to cut myself 100 more times.

you conveniently overlooked the part of that post where he mentioned the noticeable authoritarian overreach that’s taken place in the last 20 months
