You’re supposed to be this badass shock jock rebel and a virus with a 99.8% survival rate turns your image into an over political effeminate hypochondriac, people stop listening.
Who could have guessed?

Stern has had a pretty good run overall.....40 years combined at least. His shtick has gotten old anyway

Good. I had to quit listening after 15 years during Covid when it turned into a political show.
I was a big fan of his in the early 2000’s and listened everyday up until he lost his mind and became a liberal pussy.
When he quit saying Wendy the Retard is when the show started sucking but I kept with him another couple years but the show just wasn’t that funny anymore.

Even if they offered him half, he should take it

Good. This is what happens when you become what you were against, dive into politics, and tell 1/2 the country you don’t want their business.
Stern learned the same lesson Air America and Colbert learned, no one wants to listen to leftwing propaganda

I've never really cared for his radio show. I did catch bits and pieces of his E! show (which I know is the radio show filmed). I guess it works better on TV than radio for me.
I listened to him one summer when I worked with my cousin and he liked Stern. And it was just not great radio. But it was entertaining enough for young college-aged me I guess. But nowadays any time I come across clips of Stern on youtube or something like that, all he does is cut off whoever he is interviewing and basically speaks for them nonstop. I always see people in the comments say how great of an interviewer he is, but IMO he is the perfect example of a terrible interviewer because he never seems to sit back and let his guests talk.
I understand why he initially became popular in the 80s/90s, but I can't imagine him being super relevant these days in terms of radio to warrant $100 million a year. That's insane numbers IMO.

NGOs lose funding and suddenly a lot of these far left shows are being cancelled or are considering cancelling them. It’s not a coincidence. Our tax dollars were funding this propaganda.

The only thing redeeming about his show was hot chicks

Amazing how all the wokes are losing their shows

Stern is the classic reformed whore
He was provocative and offensive and then when he got the big bucks, he tamed and became judgemental.
It’s like Oprah. She ran a circus and then when she got the big bucks, she became respectable.

Which is why in college it was much more palatable via television than radio for me I guess.

His star has only risen since joining the satellite broadcaster
Quite the opposite and it's completely self-inflicted. It used to be that Stern was in the news every other week or so, but within 3-5 years of going to satellite his name started disappearing. You might hear the name now once a year or two, but even that is "iffy". He hasn't been on AGT in at least a decade.
Common consensus is that Stern lost his edge when Artie left the show in 2012, but likely the seeds were planted a bit earlier as many think his far-left wife has slowly pushed him into the role of the type of person the prime Stern would have relentlessly lampooned. He's moved away from his show of misfits to trying to be more of an interviewer and political activist (he loathes Trump and was a big supporter of Harris).
SXM doesn't release ratings information, but it wouldn't surprise me to find that his ratings have steadily declined for at least the last decade.

The sports channels are great, but yeah, Ive pretty much let all of them lapse.

A show is funnier when the host has to dance around the censors. Sirius ruined that.
He so badly wants into the elite statist club he used to mock. Good riddance.

I’d expect that he scoots over to Sirius or other streaming service and do podcast

Sirius is still a great stock to own. Buffet just added more and owns 35% now
Stern is the still the GOAT for what he’s done

His show died a long time ago when it became obvious his "I'm a POS" act wasn't an act.
