Yeah, this is news to me. I figured it was all one big happy family amongst the NBR community and having their black mayor

The federal government has denied a request by city-parish officials to extend funding for the Baton Rouge Area Violence Elimination project, citing a series of concerns with the administration of a grant that has been credited with reducing bloodshed in the city's most violent neighborhoods.

The denial delivered an embarrassing blow to city-parish officials, who in recent weeks have blamed former Mayor-President Kip Holden's administration for failing to make use of the grant dollars even as it touted the success of BRAVE.

Denise is against SWB?
Apparently she is quite perturbed that SWB didn't applaud the fact that SS said that Gavin Long was God's deliverer of justice when he executed 3 cops.

The first line of the post seems to say she's going after the whole SWB office which includes the mayor

Based on the first line, it seems like she was mainly taking a shot at SWB, then threw Hillar and JBE in for good measure

Where else they gonna get treated for those gunshot wounds?

I see what you and Prawn are saying...still amazed she would go after a black woman. I guess she also went after the black woman in charge of BREC though

What you see Denise doing is exactly what's wrong with the black community of NBR. The minute someone gets out of line with the herd mentality, they do whatever they can to shame that person into "acting black" again. It's the same reason why Gary encouraged his followers to go after the black reporter from WAFB, call him a "coon" or Uncle Tom, go after him for marrying a white woman, etc because he was investigating Trudy White's blatant corruption.
I've always said that they're their own worst enemy. If someone tries to succeed in school, they're "acting white" and are publicly ostracized to get back in line with the rest of the violent, uneducated herd. This case is no different. People like Denise Marcelle will, without a doubt, lead the continuing death spiral of the very community she claims to be saving.

Silky Slim just posted this on facebook saying how Healing Place was taking way more for the same services. But let's break it down for ole Slim...
- First, this grant was for well over $17.5k meaning it had to be approved by the city council.
- This grant covers a 52 week period with the hourly amounts broken down for 5 workers and the costs associated with running the program. Silky, alone, was getting $9,800 for just 1 week and all he was doing was the "mentoring". This covers much more.
- A Sterling family member was getting $17k for transporting youths (to just a few workshops). This is allocating just under $4k for a year's worth of transportation and travel.
Basically, if we take an actual look at the numbers, Healing Place was getting the shaft compared to SWB's cronies who were getting paid at a much, much higher rate.

Yep, if you break it down to these services being offered just 20 hrs per week, it comes to $109/hr. That's for an entire staff and supplies.
In contrast, Stanky Trim received $245/hr for his "services" for just one week of work.

Just think if Silky had kept his mouth shut, we wouldn't know about this entire payout.

Yeah, they don't think about shite like that. If TCA and Dorothy Jackson wouldn't have tried to steal money then sue the people that called her out, they would've been able to avoid that whole shite show too but they gots ta keep it realz.

So is Silky Slim going to post the itemized breakdown on all the expenses for his $9,800 contract?
Silky Slim = $9,800 for one week with one person with no itemized expense report
Healing Place = $2,568 per week with 5 people, insurance, and costs for supplies factored in.
Someone being paid $245/hour for any line of work should at least have enough common sense to figure out the difference
