I was in Denham this morning and barely made it out, too. I feel guilt as well, but absolutely nobody expected levels of flooding this severe.

Does anyone have a pic of US 90 and St. Lewis st in New Iberia?

I'm so sorry. We live just north of where Rita did it's awful damage here. We were the beginning point of where the water stopped and had minimal damage.
I feel for everyone, pets as well, going through this shite.

I grew up in willowwood acres. Our house was on the back street and flooded 9 times through the years. My mom said a house that has never flooded got water this time.So sad.
I grew up there too. My parents live in the last house on Pheasantwood. The two-story one that faces you as you come down the street, if that means anything to you. Never came anywhere near flooding in the 20 years we've been there. It is 5ft off the ground. That creek is in their backyard, so it overflowed and flooded the yard entirely.
Water was in the house when they evacuated. I'm sure my other car is flooded out. They were only able to take one vehicle out of there.
My dad works shift work and worked nights all week. Came home off of nights yesterday morning to this. Hasn't had sleep in days :(

The dog is chained to the porch.
It's in the McKinley area before the hot dog place

You guys are okay? I know y'all live on the same street (but separated) as Jones.
Yea, we are good here thankfully. Our street is pretty high.

I'd like to see this. I do contract work in NI and drive in from Abbeville. Guess I won't be going to work anytime soon ... 14 in Erath and Delcambre stay flooded for a while. At least after Rita they did.

but is the water all the way to the doors at Winn Dixie?
I don't think so. In fact, I'm pretty sure Your Mom's is open right next door.

I feel horrible. They would have refused, but I wish my parents would have left with me yesterday. Or at least given me their dog and special belongings.
I'm supposed to fly out to CA for work tomorrow, but BTR probably isn't even flying anyway and even if it is, I am debating whether I should leave them or not. Not much I personally can do, but I feel so terrible.
