Water is up 6 more feet at my buds moms house on the Comite. It was up to my waste by the time we left there yesterday afternoon. Bringing a boat out there today to do some damage control and try to save a few more things

I lived in Jefferson Terrace subdivision from 79-99 and my parents sold the house last year after my old man retired. Never flooded that I can recall but with this mess who the hell knows? I was wondering how the old hood was doing.

Just joining this thread. How likely is it that we'll see a river or two crest today, causing much more flooding?

The Amite is up in my yard in Head of Island. Hopefully it doesn't reach Issac levels.

I heard from someone that the Central Thruway is not passable at Greenwell Springs Rd. and water is high at Frenchtown Rd.

is it flooding around LSU? What about north of campus?

12z 4K NAM is coming in and is only showing a couple more inches for the BR area, hopefully, the end is in sight. One potential problem, it basically has sucked this whole event, and there is a pretty intense feeder band coming out of the Gulf that it appears to have missed. You can see the overshooting tops on rapid scan here.
It is starting to show up on radar as well:
The high res HRRR model is also showing rain really tapering off over the next few hours. So there is certainly a growing signal that this may finally be wrapping up.

Unfortunately, just the rainfall part. Then the waiting to see how bad it all gets begins.
