That is my neighborhood, SuperSaint. It's dry if you are referring to the Quail Ridge area.

Born in the Village when it was new. And moved over to Quail Ridge few years later.
That whole hood (from Shire to Village to Quail and Briar Ridges) has been dry since 83.

Awesome, howdy neighbor! We're moving in like 2 weeks to a month though :-/ Out of Louisiana.

LL-what have you heard? My wife no longer works there so hasn't heard all of the information. She's devastated though.

Gulf Coast Weather

Link? I am very interested in this area (I'm trying to get back home), but I've never heard of this site and it sounds very hyped up, almost alarmist. Is anyone else reporting these dire scenarios?

You can't say that ^^ and then say this...

quote:

THERE IS FEAR OF ASCENSION PARISH FILLING UP WITH WATER.

quote:

The entire city of St Amant may get an additional 3 to 4 feet of water overnight.

Depending on the timestamp of that post, it is nothing short of hyperbolic. The situation is serious, and if they're over exaggerating in hopes that people heed the warning, then so be it, but that post is most certainly meant to hype and scare.

ETA: This isn't directed at you Bourre, it is directed at the source.

Is it safe to say the water is almost to Airline Hwy in Ascension, all these reports, ..St. Marks Church, etc...has water already crossed over Airline in some spots?

Trying to decide if I will drive into work tomorrow. Coming from neighborhood behind MMR on Airline and headed to Blue Cross on Bluebonnet. There have been road closures all around me and Airline has obviously been a mess.

Any advice? Working from home is a possibility so trying to make a decision.

Exactly. And what kind of statement is 'Ascension Parish filling up with water'? Doesn't even make sense. The parish is not a pitcher. There are high areas, low areas, and a huge amount of space. Whole thing just sounds fishy to me.
