She is an embarrassment. Street Beat probably wishes he had a Jack and Coke in that Yetti Tumbler.

Where at? You can get into geo Jay's through the back of the neighborhood...but some areas still have water.

You guessed right. I'm trying to get to GeoJay's with a work crew.

Then the warm core nocturnal rain bomb went off. Typically, warm core nocturnal rain events die off during the morning hours but then the system actually strengthened and just kept on going... never seen anything like it.

Me either. I was shocked and horrified seeing the rain continue. Im lucky I'm such a weather geek, because I was ahead of the game in my neighborhood.

That was wild. A warm core symmetrical low like that, getting stronger over land. That's the stuff PhD papers are made of.

the flooding is mind boggling

Were they needing help transporting the people being rescued to shelters? I have the sheriff's department my number at household of faith today and left and haven't heard from them..I have a12 passenger van that I could use to help move people from one location to another..

story relayed in prairieville, nat'l guard evacuating people, wouldn't allow them to take their dog.

This is true. I picked up some people in my boat that wouldn't leave without their 2 small dogs. They were allowed in not only my boat but my truck when i took them to meet up with their son.

At 5:30 Manchac was moving very quickly backflow towards Alligator Bayou and Bayou Fountain. Most of this water has been moving towards Alligator Bayou due to the lower level of Spanish Lake than up Bayou Fountain. Manchac has been rising slow but steadily all day and the volume moving through it is incredible. I dont know where all the water could possibly go but backflow out of Spanish Lake in AP and IP. The water flowing over Alligator Bayou Rd and Machac Bayou Rd is all thats kept significant backflow flooding from Bayou Fountain

When I passed household of faith earlier it looked like some type of command center. Had to be at least 50 boats and tons of cooking. Not sure if you asked them directly but I would imagine they can point you in the right direction at least.

That's where I was, their red command center..talked to the ban in charge..told him, I don't have a boat but do have a 12 passenger van to help transport people to the shelters or wherever..even had car seats..he took my name and number and said we'll call you if we need you..hmm, okay then..that was around noon..

there were trucks taking people from the road to the church
honestly there were way more people in the area helping than there were people to help, at least where we were

the good news is that most everyone had gotten out

Why are they damming Manchac Bayou at Airline?

Wait what? Are you talking about north of highland? Because that's not manchac bayou. That's manchac overflow. Manchac bayou is between highland and old Perkins on airline. The parish line.
