With as much as LSU has bungled things over the last year or so (see: Les Miles fiasco, band director firing, etc.) I am pretty much expecting them to botch this.

Yeah, especially so with the new HR system they just went to recently that they have been having a lot of problems getting settled into.

Things are approaching the end. Glad we were able to warn people about Hurricane, Honey Cut, Jones, and Clay Cut backflow. Also extraordinarily glad Fountain and Ward did not do significant damage to inland Baton Rouge. I hope all of your families are OK, I'll be helping some of my friends gut their houses and recover. Best of luck to those downstream.

They are allowing faculty and staff to use annual leave which can then be reclassified as emergency leave. It's not as bad as you make it sound.

Exactly. They said in email that they knew people would need time to deal with damages, etc. They asked employees to submit as annual leave in order to have records and clearly stated that they would convert to emergency leave.

Anybody know if Bluff rd is open all the way to 74?

It might be open, but I would not drive that way.

Someone gave info on a Vet Clinic at 650 ONeal Lane (?) which is further down from Walmart Oschner.

If you are talking about the vet clinic just before O'Reilly auto parts then it is dry there. It did have water yesterday for sure in that area but I don't know enough to say that it flooded the building. The building is definitely dry now though.

Stupid question probably, and I don't mean to sound insensitive, but have there been any fatalities reported??

Do you know if any streets in the Bayou Paul area are flooded? I have some family who left and wondering when they can go back.

I don't trust anything LSU does with the new Workday system. A couple million dollars spent on it and it's been a huge clusterfu$&

Can't believe it's that low. Hope it doesn't go up as waters recede and people return.
