They are allowing faculty and staff to use annual leave which can then be reclassified as emergency leave. It's not as bad as you make it sound.

LSU is back open tomorrow. They are forcing faculty and staff to take annual leave to deal with their flooded homes. I'm surprised LSU is open considering all the road closures and the impact on the community.
I'm not there and am safe at home but that's insane.

No idea on hospital because I didn't drive that far but it wasn't due to water. Just turned around and came back to my buddies house with power.
Thanks a lot " not due to water" is a promising sign.
Someone gave info on a Vet Clinic at 650 ONeal Lane (?) which is further down from Walmart Oschner.
Thanks a lot for that because we are hearing nothing

Anybody know if Bluff rd is open all the way to 74?

I think LSU is in a very difficult position. They have to finish the intersession classes before the fall semester or students may not receive the credit for their classes.

You stay safe Miguel.
Make sure those golf clubs don't get lost like all the ProV1's you hit in the water.

I'm hearing that blind river is starting to rise a bit. Couldn't find any projections for what that area could be looking at

With as much as LSU has bungled things over the last year or so (see: Les Miles fiasco, band director firing, etc.) I am pretty much expecting them to botch this.

Hey, skuter, is this the same spot you took the earlier photo? Where on Alligator Bayou Rd. are you? Just curious, 'cause my neighborhood is just across Bluff from there.

It's not closed yet but one of the low points on Bluff Rd right by Bluff Oak Dr is where water is now flowing over Bluff Rd.
