No chatter about Lake Martin that I've seen. Hasn't been much chatter about Laffy today. Traffic is terrible on 190 because of the I-10 closure. Apparently there was a levee breach near the airport about an hour ago. Also one this morning at Vermilionville.

Wife's aunt lives in Youngsville. They had 4 ft of water in the house when they left Saturday afternoon.

Any word on LA 30 at Bayou Paul Rd?

Dry as of an hour ago. No water at all.

They went from urgent need to evac to "stay vigilant" for Bayou Paul. We left. Even a small chance isn't worth risking staying in my opinion.

Eta: As long as the locks stay intact most places should be ok. If the locks fail, I feel like that water will start rising and fast.

Any info on the intersection of Germany Rd and HWY 44 in Gonzales, by the Ralphs Market???
My brother's house is near there
I'm pretty close to there.. it's been dry all day, but the ditches in my dads subdivision are starting to fill which means backwater may start effecting us soon. The canal by Ralphs may fill up and flood if that starts the happen

Alligator Bayou update:

just my unprofessional opinion but it looks to be turning. Of course it's blowing over the road but it looks to be receding a bit [/img]

LSU is back open tomorrow. They are forcing faculty and staff to take annual leave to deal with their flooded homes. I'm surprised LSU is open considering all the road closures and the impact on the community.
