anyone live near Old Perkins/Swamp road that can give an update on those areas?
I spent a few mins in Manchac Plantation yesterday evening.
One or two houses in Plantation that back up to Manchac looks like they have water.
Perkins itself, especially near Swamp Road is dry.
My wife advised this morning that Alligator Swamp is slightly above Bluff Road. (that's right behind my house)
Hope this helps.

Nicholson blocked at Gardere, but water's not actually on road until between Lee and GSRI/Innovation Park. Gardere currently clear and I could not see any flooding down the streets looking from Gardere. Flooding in back of apartments between Gardere and Bluebonnet and that little neighborhood behind Albertson's. Standing water between Albertsons and Walgreens (but passable). Burbank fields flooded (about a foot higher than yesterday). Bluebonnet between Burbank and Nicholson dry and catch basins clear. No apparent off street flooding in Fairfield or Springhill. Ditches on Nicholson have some room to rise.

We are at my mom's house which is on red oak off of old Perkins across from the walmart. No water here but the front of neighbor is high. You can only go as far on old perkins as where Manchac crosses

Anyone know if university villa on Burbank off staring got water? Bayou fountain runs behind it. Thanks in advance.
As of 10ish last night they were dry
Heard same thing around midnight. I think the flooding around Burbank and Bluebonnet relieved the pressure on the bayou in that area.

Thanks for all of the great info and insight! Can you post the link for scanner again? Don't know which page of the 300+ it was previously posted on.

Tulane, it LOOKS like Bayou Manchac is cresting so any flooding is likely to begin receding soon in Baton Rouge.

My only concern is that if water is still flowing into areas like this then maybe sites downstream a la bayou fountain will still be taking on more water till later today

It's just baffling that all night bayou manchac was rising and we didn't really see much down bayou fountain. It really feels like maybe the soccer fields or that swamp near the bend on Burbank soaked up some water all the way down through Spanish lakes.

Well someone mentioned the swamp water level is rising still so the only concern I'd have is those on the Burbank Soccer Field side of things, probably those apartments behind Lakeside. Anyone have word from there if they are still rising or have they begun falling?
