When will the Amite crest at Jones Creek? Is it about halfway between the Denham Springs and Bayou Manchac gauges?

I'm very concerned about my friends in Lafayette right now. While there was supposed to be a forecasted break this afternoon, an area of rain continues to train. Many parts of the city are a lake, and the rain is intensifying over the area again. I have truly never seen anything like this in my lifetime.
