If you were in your prime years, you weren’t allowed to volunteer for the armed forces after 1942. Draft only.

I thinks it's crazy how few women realize this is a reality for all American males. My wife was flabbergasted when I told her about it.
That said, if my number is ever pulled, we're in big trouble. Not because I'd be worthless, because I am, but because that'd mean a lot better men than myself died and they're scraping the bottom of the barrel by the time they get to me.
