The Future of Relationships between Men and Women? Is An All Out Gender War Inevitable?

And I don't mean just some sort of cultural gender war. I mean a genuine all out conflict between Men and Women. I know the reaction from many on here will be to just laugh at this, but please hear me out. FAIR WARNING, long post ahead, deal with it.

The evidence is everywhere that men and women are growing further and further apart with each generation. Let's look at the facts:

- Marriage rates are collapsing in most developed countries. Only 47% of U.S. households were married couples in 2025.
- The vast majority of Western Countries and Asian Countries now have birth rates far below the generally accepted replacement rate of around 2.1.
- As of 2025, unmarried men between 20 - 39 double the amount of married men here in the U.S. While I don't have statistics, we know the amount of unmarried women has gone up as well.
- For those women who do marry, they are marrying much later in life. As of 2025, the average age of a woman marrying is right around 30. This contributes to also having far less children on average.
- Men and Women are growing apart politically, especially among Gen Z. Gen Z men are more likely now to be MAGA and on the far right and hold some misogynistic views. Meanwhile, Gen Z women are far more likely now to be on the left, if not fully socialistic, and have some more misandrist views.

We can see the breakdown happening now. It was already starting before MeToo, but MeToo really opened the flood gates. Men and Women were already starting to not trust each other before. MeToo changed the game of dating and relationships, but never established what the new rules were.

MeToo was about "putting the bad men in their place", but in reality, all MeToo did was chase off the actual good men. Here's the thing, women wanted to label all men during that era as "toxic" or "predators". Women during that time wanted to label all men as being "creepy" if they approached. The actual scumbag men, the ones who are predatory and creepy, aren't going to care one bit about social norms. They are typically too self-centered to care. The men who are now turned off to approaching women at the risk of "being creepy" are the men that women actually want to approach. And of course now women say things like "where have all the good men gone?". Well you chased them away, have fun dealing with the actual creepy guys.

This has created a self-confirmation bias though. In the post MeToo world, it's far more likely that the men that women are interacting with in bars and at the clubs are going to be your predators, your "creepy guys". So because of this, more and more women, especially the younger Gen Z women, are largely only seeing the guys who are creepy and predators. And it's re-confirming a false bias for women, which is that all men are predators and creeps. That all men would absolutely r*pe and abuse women if they could.

The online world has made things worse as well. The influx of toxic information has damaged human connection and expectations. You have radical feminist and manosphere influencers on both sides making money from keeping their side enraged.

We are just now starting to see the results of this. And it goes far deeper than just falling marriage rates and a falling reproduction rate

- With less people, programs like social security will fail, as there will not be enough people to cover those who have retired. You will see massive shortages in health care and other industries.
- Industries that rely on marriage and children, including event spaces and the education industry, will greatly suffer.
- It's already established that married men and married women outlive their single counterparts.
- With more single women, you will have more mental health issues. With more single men, you will have more loneliness issues and more risky behavior.
- With more men and women staying single, they will stop even trying to develop their lives. No need to buy a house or get that promotion.
- With more men and more women staying single, participation in civil duties such as public service, military, police, fire/rescue, religion and other civic organizations will greatly drop.

But it gets deeper than even that. If this trend continues, you will see men and women continue to drift further and further apart. You are already seeing it in politics, where Gen Z men and woman are far apart. This has flowed over into dating, where liberal Gen Z women will refuse to date conservative Gen Z men.

Due to politics and the skewed dating market, women are considering 80% of the men to be "below average". More and more women will either become lesbian, or be in a polyamorous or "side piece" relationship with one of the top 20% of men.

When this happens, more and more men will simply give up and withdraw from society. But you will also see more and more men become gay.

As gay and lesbian rates increase, it will become more popular for these couples to have a child of their own sex. So you'll have young girls who will be raised by two mom's. You'll have young boys who will be raised by two dad's.

For the daughters of lesbian couples, they will have no father figure. So men will be even more of a danger to them. Those daughters will be more likely to be lesbian themselves and have next to no interaction with men. The same with sons of gay couples, they will have no mother figure. So the information they will get about women will be from the manosphere, and they will be more likely to be gay, having next to no interaction with women.

Besides an increase in gay and lesbian rates, men will increasingly turn to vices such as p*rn, gambling, drugs, gaming, drinking and soon AI companions and AI girlfriends. Women will increasingly do the same. This will further isolate men and women into different societies altogether.

Men I think will do okay in this setup, but I don't think women will. You could argue AI will make both sides obsolete, but I think AI girlfriends will make women obsolete quicker than AI boyfriends will make men obsolete. Men will thrive more being single, women will struggle being single.

When this happens, I can't see women just accepting it. They'll try to ban AI companions. They'll try to ban video games. I think they will absolutely try to force men back into marriage to "take care" of the women.

We all know most men just want to be left alone, and men will try their best to do that. But if women try to take away men's independence, which is what I fear will happen, that is when I see an all out gender war happening.

It'll be destructive and it isn't necessarily a guaranteed victory for men, as it will mostly be fought by drones and AI. And it'll sadly be a case where either men will win and women will become subservient, or women will win and men will become subservient.

I'm not saying this is happening tomorrow. Anyone 50 and over probably won't ever see it. I think this is still some time away. But I definitely think younger millennials and Gen Z and Gen Alpha will live to see an all out gender war.
