The Audubon Insectarium in NOLA has a free sampler buffet of edible insects. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty they were.

I've eaten one of the BBQ flavored whatever it was at the insectarium. Really neat. I ain't eating them like a meal, or buying fricking insects to feed my family while Klaus Schwab, Obama, Biden, and Pelosi fly around the world to their estates feasting on the finer things... like the beef they don't think we should have.

Do you eat Crawfish in lieu of normal proteins like beef, chicken, and pork? No, you eat it a couple times a year like a treat.

John the Baptist ate locusts - it’s in the Bible

I know. But not by choice. His situation was obviously critical.

I LOVE all the pearl clutching by a bunch of people that make eating "mudbugs" a significant part of their culture

"Pearl Clutching"??

This isn't a moral decision/opinion, it's a dietary one.

Yes, I am insulted by those who claim, "Screw your burgers. You vill eat zee bugs and LIKE zee bugs!"

you literally compared it to drag queens

and if we want to get into the future of food, I'll eat bugs all day before I eat lab grown meat

Technically, it was his choice - but he chose to be holy & do God’s will

Point being, bug eating is not anti-God

I do believe taking away the animal sources for protein and forcing us to eat bugs is anti-God. And I’d rather a steak over a cricket any day.

They pump their bodies full of chemicals every day, but this is too much.

Oh, so this hasn't been framed as an alternative to beef consumption?

Just think of it like shrimp. Shrimp are practically underwater bugs. Now try to enjoy shrimp again.

It's meant to replace jerkey and cracklins not burgers and porkchops

Isn’t there some book or something that talks about how much crap is in our food - like we probably already eat a lot of bugs and plenty of packaged food is full of rat hair.

in almost every iteration, it is framed as a snack

a quick, cheap and healthy form of protein

That seems like traditional food born out of a communist country (bugs) that’s only now learning how to be capitalist (vending machine).
