Listen, just because you're a shitbag heroin user who spent time in the slammer due to your habit, doesn't mean all cops are bad.

Ghettos will become even shittier and unpoliced, while nice areas of cities will receive all the resources fo protect investments made by white supremacists.

Maybe it'll be addition by subtraction. Not sure why you assume only good cops will walk away, though some may do so. If you're willing to walk away from a job over the potential of being held more accountable, maybe that job wasn't for you to begin with.

Yeah, there’s bad people in all professions and walks of life. We all get it, but how much worse will it be when all we are left with are those who are simply not suited to be on the police force but do it for ego or because they can’t get anything else, the people who really need to get out of the profession? How about when police forces can attract nobody else but bad apples to join the force because nobody wants to put themselves in that precarious position anymore? More specifically, how much worse will those inner city neighborhoods riddled with crime be then?

They can easily stop this right now by firing the bad apples and blacklisting them from the force. Also bringing them to trial and doing so in an open manner and not hiding any facts.

But no they decided to throw up a blue wall. Reap what you sow.

The people in the poorer neighborhoods, most notably, women, will be left with little protection from their wrongdoing neighbors. They will either have to leave, or try to fend for themselves/turn to neighborhood "warlords" for protection.

The people most responsible for fanning the flames of anti-cop rhetoric are the media, young white liberals, or self-guilt ridden suburban white people. NONE who whom live with even interact on a daily basis with the people they are "trying to protect" from the police. So while police shootings create a great opportunity for the media to spread devisive rhetoric those people don't actually see the GOOD cops do in those areas

You can’t sum it up much better than this. People also complain about police being in black neighborhoods fail to realize most of their calls come from the people in those neighborhoods. They are also most of the time the first ones on scene doing cpr and first aid in those very neighborhoods

This literally rarely happens. They hop around more than a pedo priest from parish to parish.

But, this is correct, many city cops get kicked out and get hired by a sheriffs office somewhere

Correct and that is a huge part of the problem police don't want to admit.

I see it as crimes or areas that are “part of the game” just won’t get responded to.

Report of gunshots in a certain part of town at 2 am? Response time is going to be 2 hours

Very seldom happens if someone is confirmed shot. Even in the worst parts of town they heading there unless there is an absolute disaster in another part of the city. I’ve worked plenty of middle of the night shootings in the worst neighborhoods and we ain’t going on scene until police show up, and I’ve never had to wait long. Even my brothers and sisters in other cities like New Orleans and Dallas, also Little Rock say the same thing. There was a write up a couple years ago in the paper about a shooting in NO saying it took police an hour to respond but a friend of mine who works ems there worked the call saying there was police there in less than 5 minutes

That is the sad part, the cops who will leave will be the trustworthy ones.

My neighbor just retired. He said it wasn't worth it any longer and all he had heard for the last year was how cops were just killing innocent people without reason, and people were carrying to protect themselves not from criminals, but from the police.

Absolute clown world.

As I said before, the smart cops that aren't as motived will just stop pursuit when the situation doesn't lend itself to a high chance of a good outcome for them. Why chase a perp that's armed right now? Let him "escape" and deal with it another day. Yes, that means that the chances of that same perp going to harm an innocent victim while they escape is higher. But the chances of making CNN are vastly decreased.

After the war with Spain as over, the displaced British sailors became pirates. I assume we will see the modern day equivalent.

The bigger cities are devolving into complete and total hellholes. In each one, there's an exodus of actual tax paying citizens. Although the covid funding bandaids are propping them up right now, there's going to come a time where they're going to be in an alarming freefall.

We’re either gonna get Escape from New York, Robocop, or Judge Dredd as the outcome.

Can't really add much since white flight and high crime have already been mentioned. White flight worked for whitey until the govt got itself involved in housing. "If we can move a poor person to a nicer neighborhood then the poor person will adapt." I am convinced that these housing programs were invented to cause more white flight for the sake of more houses being built. It's the economy stupid.
