I will not get behind them at any register. Do they not trust themselves with cards or cash?

Reminds me of the people who still pay at tolls instead of getting EZ Pass. Worthless.

I worked at a bank for years. The elderly think that debit cards are really credit cards, no matter how many times you explain it to them.

I especially like when they take the time to write it in the ledger and balance as well. Might as well do it all at once right?

Cause your time is SO valuable that 45 seconds is going cause a speed bump in the economy...

Apparently you've never worked in a major market area of the United States.

I finally bought my own Hulu and did not get the no-commercial plan, and I have no idea who all these young pop stars are trying to sell me shite, and I don't care to find out.

I'm only 31, so I can imagine trying to constantly stay updated with all the newest stuff gets even more annoying as you get older.

They’re just doing what they’ve always done. Certain older people being “behind the times” is not a surprise. Having said that yes it’s ridiculous, but hard to blame them.

They're probably writing those checks for google play cards to give to an online scammer

it's always way more than that. They'll start writing the check then think about something to talk to the cashier about 2-3 times while pausing writing.

You're just jealous that they know how to write in cursive.

Its awful. They take like 15 minutes to write the check. Why anyone uses anything other than a card is absurd.

Strip club= Cash
Everything else= Credit Card points

My 88 year old mother has an IRA. By law, she must make a minimum withdrawal from it each year.
This year I finally set her up online accounts both of the IRA and a "regular" account.
She let me do the withdrawal online and I told her I would transfer the IRA withdrawal to her regular account.
She said "No, mail me a check for it". I said "Ok'.
Week later she gets the check.
Then she tells me she wants to deposit the check in that new regular account.

If something works for you, no reason to change for the sake of changing. Some day something will replace debit cards and you'll be a stick in the mud for not embracing it.

Then don't. And when your parents are in assisted living, don't visit them.
