It doesn't address the real problem. High gas prices are the result of the Biden administration's war on fossil fuels. Getting rid of Democrats would solve the problem.

I don’t believe the intent of that bill was to prevent price gouging. I very much believe the intent was to introduce price ceilings.
If you want to see something worse than $5 gas, let them put in price ceilings and deal with having no gas.

Biden and Democrats have helped caused increases in market prices, so what do you define “unconscionably excessive” as when it’s market based and in large part based based on Biden’s anti-oil and gas agenda since his inauguration.

This bill isn’t really about price gouging. It would allow the President to unilaterally declare an energy “emergency” and then set a gas price ceiling.
In case you know nothing about economics or history, government issued price ceilings lead to mass shortages 100% of the time.
