like your President vowing on the campaign trail to “end fossil fuels”, then enacting dozens of climate change initiatives hurting US O&G, then gas prices skyrocketing, and him blaming everyone he possibly can for it?

Might that be it?

You really are stupid. The President you voted for attacked oil companies from day one. I am sure you love paying 5$ per gallon you jackass. Thanks for voting for Joe.

A windfall tax will make prices higher. That is not the objective is it?

Let’s have our elected officials tax a company because they don’t like how the world is going right now so they can pass those taxes along to Joe Taxpayer.

Honestly i much rather have a windfall tax, if gas companies want to price gouge us they’re going to get nailed for it and we get some money back from it

How about not add any more taxes

Jfc is yalls only solution to your frickups is to make someone else pay for it?

The Government Price Gouging Act

Fify sir.

Take billions of dollars and ship to Ukraine and then come here and blame gas prices on the oil companies gouging?

Legislation should be applied only during hurricanes or other disasters. Is it price gauging a 2x4 when the double in price, or supply/demand?

I saw some slapdick on twitter saying a barrel of oil cost x ten years ago, so why is a gallon of gasoline y+$2 compared to ten years ago when oil barrels cost the same. Maybe the refinery has to pay twice as much for labor, maintenance, replacement cost of equipment.

and why would O&G invest in new refineries when this administration could put them in their crosshairs for doing so a year or two down the road.

bottom line is, this administration has backed themselves into a corner with no way out and lashing out is only going to pour gasoline on the fire.

Because price fixing has worked so well elsewhere.

Yes, but the baws on that board would say the same things that those on this board are saying. The OP will get just as poor of a reception there.
