I like free market systems. If the govt would GTFO we would set the price of oil and not OPEC or Russia

Link for that? Or did you just make up your own definition in order to further support your dumb take?

o you are blaming Biden as the reason your GOP congressman thinks it is ok for you to be gouged on fuel?

You know there are already laws against gouging right?

So you're sticking to that? There's no such thing as price gouging?

The bill is far too vague. It needs reworking.

There doesn't need to be a national bill regardless. I think most states have price gouging laws in place.

In saying that, I'm all for some regulation in the pharmaceutical industry.

You think price controls are going to fix this?

You know what? Let’s do it. Then supply is going to dry up. I look forward to not being able to get to work anymore.

Honestly i much rather have a windfall tax, if gas companies want to price gouge us they’re going to get nailed for it and we get some money back from it

Yep, and anyone supporting it..

Price controls lead to shortages. It always has and always will. I have no clue why people think repeating terrible decisions is a good strategy.

I love how this idea gets laughed at today but just a few years ago it would be the standard hate for O&G companies, almost like something changed to make some poster switch sides

A windfall tax will make prices higher. That is not the objective is it?

O&G makes my life infinitely better every day beyond just making my vroomvroom mobile going from point a to point b. I don’t suck them off. They’re a company that wants to make profit off of me. I just don’t begrudge them more than other companies that want to make a profit off of me.
