A significant percentage of the property suffers from backwater flooding every time Bayou Duplantier/Ward's Creek floods.

No worries. The Diversion Canal will be completed before 2065.

I don't know what is was like during CLA days, but it seemed like a dump the past couple years when my kids played sports there, at least the sports facilities.

Also, the fans seemed to show the worse sportsmanship, not even their own players were safe from irate parents.

The guy that started that place is getting uonin age, Dr melleie or something like that. He’s the guy that spoke in front of the metro council a few years ago about anal sex. I wonder if there is a move to be made on that property. I figure probably only half of it would be buildable, but would be a great location for some McMansions

Good that cult, not the old Christian Life, needs to go away completely.

I heard that his son took over running things a few years back. Given his age, I would find it hard to believe the old man is still in charge.

Can you elaborate? I know nothing about the Church.

The campus basically becomes an island during really heavy rains. During the flood it was pretty much impossible to drive to the buildings from any direction

Oh. Well.

Considering some of the people kicked out of other schools they took, I’m not crying over this. Especially because they were athletes receiving preferential treatment, one or more of which managed to get kicked out of there too.

Of all teams we played, I remember Christian Life being the biggest dirt bags with the most unsportsmanlike players and coaches.

I think this is almost a universal rule for schools with “Christian” in the name, at least in my experience.

Not sure if that rule is true or not but I know I saw a lot of low class shite involved with them, both attending the school and on the field.

Had a guy “withdrawn” from our school for exposing himself and he was at CLA by the end of the day.

Had a guy steal a girl’s camera on a school trip and take a bunch of pictures of Little Richard, which was discovered when the girl’s father got the film developed, and end up at CLA after a week long suspension resulting in his withdrawal. He was at Parkview for one day before the girl’s family told them what happened and he was told not to come back.

That particular guy was an athlete who later got kicked out of CLA for running a train on some underclassmen girls with some other senior athletes and ended up at Silliman so he could be immediately eligible.

And that doesn’t touch on my neighbor / ex-friend who played football for them and got kicked out for unnecessary roughness in a JV game and got patted on the back by the coaches afterward.

Probably none, it's a school that's K-12 with 250 total students

Why did Christian Life become The Church Academy in the first place?

People in charge of the school were getting older and wanted to hand off the school (which was struggling a lot) to a new group that is doing well in St. Amant. Just didn't work out, but it would have likely been closed earlier had they not handed it off.

One guy was somewhat good just a little fricked in the head since he thought whipping it out in public was funny.

The other guy was the stereotypical spoiled athlete who was semi-literate and had special treatment given to him on his work to keep him eligible.
