President Joe Biden signed a Republican-led bill Monday ending the COVID-19 national emergency.

The measure passed the Senate for the third time in March in a vote of 68-23, making its way to the president’s desk. At the time, a White House official reportedly stated that Biden would sign the bill despite being “strongly” in opposition.

The bill consists of a sole sentence directing the national COVID-19 emergency declared on March 13, 2020, to be “terminated.”

One of the bill’s main sponsors, Republican Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall, called on Biden to end the “authoritarian” emergency powers instated at the beginning of the pandemic.

For the first time in his administration I can say with all my heart, “Good job Joe”.

I’m not voting for him this time. Covid isn’t over and it’s disappointing that he put his name on the trump vaccine instead of making his own warp speed

People of size are still at risk but nobody cares. Our blood is on yalls hands

To be fair, he thought he was signing a bill legalizing hair-sniffing.

I’d love to know who some of the 23 are.

I'm still going to wear mine - government can't tell me what to do.

I look around and still see masked people out and about; I wonder what fear-filled reality they might still be stuck in.

So you’re admitting you voted for the weirdo…. As far as people that are still susceptible to Covid-like illnesses…. Guess they should practice good hygiene
There are other viruses that are just as deadly…seasonal flu…been here for years!
