They have the BR judicial mafia as well as the governor's office running cover for this little vote-buying slush fund. Between this and the NBR redevelopment project, the feds will be plenty busy running sting ops.

How much of their new funds will actually go toward services for the elderly?

Didn’t all the scandal shut end up pointing out the funding disparity between EBR and all other parishes with those other parishes doing far more with less?

They are going to steal it one way or the other. Now they are just able to do it legally.

I've read about many robberies in the last few years, but this takes the cake.

The fact that the Metro Council hasn't even proposed an election to repeal this property tax speaks volumes.

The fact that a duly elected City-Parish Council put this tax on the ballot speaks to the real problem.

People like Delgado and Loupe weren't acting in our best interests at all.

This shite is beyond infuriating.

I'd bet my left one that there is actually $0 value in what this biotch does.

So, 100K of taxpayer dollars to an unqualified trick who barely has a grasp of the english language for nothing.

I think I hear a knocking, and I think it's St. George.

5% raise? WTF? People on SS will get only a 2% raise and 90% of that will go to Medicare increase. I'm talking about people that paid into SS all their lives and these cocksuckers asking for 5 and never worked a day in their life.

Oh, SS in the last 7 years only had a total on 5% raise and that includes next years raise.

The whole BRCOA thing is fricked up but I wouldn't use SS as an example of where raises are needed. SS needs to be cut by 20%

Well, LA is definitely not a mid range state in wealth. Nor is Clark-Amar's qualifications over mid-range.

Gravy's reasoning is that white people swindled the taxpayers in previous years so it's their turn now

Really? So, like me that had paid in over 200K in SS over the last 40 years get screwed?

If I would of invest that moneys started way back then, that moneys would be well over 2 million now. And yet you want to cut 20%.

Not sure, but this tax was pushed because they said this would help eliminate the waiting list for the wheels on meals program.

So now that they have the tax money, they aren’t addressing the waiting list, they are giving everyone a pay raise and hiring Clark more admin people

First things first, to the victor goes the spoils. It's time to divvy things up.

This is a big time operation now requiring a top notch CEO, assistants, secretaries, accountants, media relations prople, and if anything is left maybe a social worker or two.

Come next election cycle they can make even fancier flyers telling everyone who to vote for... all the black candidates.
